Some, through prior habituation to the two accumulations (merit and wisdom), and having obtained great power of wisdom and samadhi, transcend the paths. From the path of joining to the path of seeing and the path of meditation, they can accomplish it in one go, and ultimately walk the path to perfection. There are also some whose mental strength is very great, who go from the path of seeing directly to the state of Buddhahood. As the tantra says: "Some from the very lineage of sovereignty, in sixteen lifetimes complete the five bodies of meaning. Some from the Great Seal, transform into the Unsurpassed Samantabhadra." Thus, even the Second Buddha, Padmasambhava, gradually develops doubts in the bardo, but is similar to the above. As it is said: "In the delightful Akaniṣṭha, the truly enlightened one becomes enlightened there, and a Nirmanakaya awakens here." As stated in the Ornament of Clear Realization and the Secret Bindu of the Moon, Shakyamuni Buddha, from countless eons ago, had already perfected abandonment and realization and attained Buddhahood. Like the Buddha, he manifested the twelve deeds in this realm, and it should be known that the Dharma is the same. The third general topic is the way to attain the state of pure non-dual union, which is divided into two parts: a general explanation of the nature of the result, and a special statement of the characteristics of mantra. The first part is: Now, having trained with the profound samadhi of pure wisdom and emptiness, and having purified the defilements of entering samsara by manifesting all phenomena as deities through samadhi like musical instruments, and having realized that the self-manifestation of the deity's wisdom is inseparable from the field of experience, the habitual tendencies of universal conceptualization are emptied. Due to the transformation of the alaya, the wisdom of the dharmadhatu is obtained. Similarly, as the sutra of entering the three bodies says: "The alaya consciousness dissolving into the dharmadhatu is the mirror-like wisdom." Just like that, the consciousness dissolving into the dharmadhatu is the wisdom of equality. The afflicted mind dissolving into the dharmadhatu is the discriminating wisdom. The five sense consciousnesses dissolving into the dharmadhatu is the accomplishing wisdom. At that time, the outer appearance transforms into a pure land, the inner aggregates and elements transform into the deity's body, and the secret eight consciousnesses transform into the five wisdoms, therefore it is called complete Buddhahood. As the Seventy Verses on Refuge says: "To awaken from the sleep of ignorance, and for wisdom to increase in what is to be known, the Buddha expands like the petals of a lotus."

Thus and so on. Here, when the unattached lotus-holder and the great assembly of the wheel of letters are manifested, the five bodies according to the system of the glorious Great Net of Illusion are perfected at once. If we briefly distinguish their nature, firstly, the immutable vajra body: From the Wisdom Net, "The pure vajra body of space, immutable, indestructible, beyond thought." Therefore, the primordial space, the luminosity of its own nature, is the ultimate end of the path traversed by all Buddhas. Its nature is without change, and with the nature of vajra, it is uncompounded and eternal, so it is called that. Moreover, since it is free from defilements from the beginning, it is the purity of its own nature, and even the sudden defilements are extremely pure, so it is also called the Buddha with two purities. Secondly, the body of manifest enlightenment: From the same text, "Because it is free from defilements, it is pure; because its qualities are abundant, it is enlightened; because it is mixed without duality, it is union; therefore, it is called the body of manifest enlightenment." Therefore, when the nature of mind is clear as light, it belongs to the part of the two purities, and the qualities that are not mixed with the part of appearance are the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddha, great compassion, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and so on. In short, from the part of the inconceivable qualities of wisdom, love, and power, it is called the body of manifest perfect enlightenment, which is the basis of all unmixed qualities. Thirdly, the peaceful dharmakaya is not merely emptiness, because it is not discriminating wisdom. If one considers dharmata as dharmakaya, then it is vajra, as has already been explained. If one considers it as dharmakaya from the part that appears as many but is not mixed in essence, then it is the body of manifest enlightenment, as has just been explained, so it is pervasive. Here, if one identifies with anything, it is not permanent, because it is beyond specification, and it is not annihilation, because it is the self-aware wisdom of each individual, and it does not fall into the extremes of both or neither, because permanence and annihilation are not established. Therefore, the nature of space, free from edges and center, in the realm like the sky, the extremely subtle wisdom is mixed into one taste, like the moon on the fifteenth day, it is invisible, and dharma and dharmata are the same.
