May the defilements and obscurations of all sentient beings be purified! The rays of light converge and dissolve into oneself, and the earth made of various jewels transforms into a vast palace. Reciting "Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ" is the purification of mantra, mudra, and samadhi. Fourth, to seize or control, visualize oneself as the great supreme Heruka, with one face and two arms, the two eyes like the sun and moon, the pupils are (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), from which blaze the flames of wisdom, gazing with wrathful eyes, thinking that all obstacles and misleading influences are destroyed. Wielding the vajra and ringing the bell, thinking that the feet are adorned with various vajras, the three-pointed vajra rotates with an arrogant gait. Hūṃ, I am the Heruka of karma, contemplate the majestic and wrathful appearance, transform the two eyes into the sun and moon, rotate with the gait of the vajra, gaze with wrathful eyes, terrify with an arrogant demeanor, from the mouth emanates the thunderous sound of "Hūṃ Phaṭ," the rays of light emanating from the eyes incinerate the obstructing demonic forces. Recite "Oṃ Sūrya Candra Jvāla Jvāla Hūṃ Phaṭ," and expel and incinerate with the mantra of the four "Hūṃ" syllables. Fifth, to protect, use sandalwood, or if not possible, use thorny and other fierce woods to make ten pegs, clearly visualizing the scene that matches the meaning of the words. Hūṃ, from the heart of my own splendor, emanates the wrathful king Ṭakkirāja, reddish-white, with one face and two arms, holding a hammer and an iron hook in the right and left hands respectively. The emanating light spreads throughout the ten directions, summoning the ten directional protectors, spreading them out in the ten directions as cushions, men and women lying supine and prone, overlapping. Recite the mantra of the four "Hūṃ" syllables and the life mantras of the directional protectors: "Oṃ Indrāya, Agnaye, Yamāya, Nirṛti, Varuṇāya, Vāyave, Kuberāya, Īśānāya, Sūrya Candra, Pratibhāya, Tira Bham, Jaḥ, Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ." When summoning, visualize the pegs manifesting as ten wrathful deities, and increase their majesty. Hūṃ, from the heart of my own splendor, on the cushions of the ten directional protectors, emanate ten burning "Hūṃ" syllables, emanating and converging, transforming into ten wrathful deities. Hūṃ Kar, Cakrasaṃvara, blue scepter victory, Yama, Acala, Horse Neck victory, Kāmadeva, Amrita, three realms victory, contemplate these great powerful ones in order.

All have three faces and six arms, the upper body displays a wrathful demeanor, holding weapons, the lower body is a three-edged iron stake, hammered into the crowns of the ten directional protectors. In the midst of blazing flames, emanations arise from emanations, beyond comprehension. May all obstacles and demonic forces be destroyed like particles of dust. Recite this, and distinguish between hammering the upper east of the east and the lower west of the west. Similarly, hammer the four directional stakes clockwise and the four intermediate stakes counterclockwise, in accordance with their respective mantras. Visualize that the ten directional demons and obstacles are completely pierced from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet, connected to the stable golden ground of the lower foundation, making them unable to move. This is like imprisoning a king, and the subjects naturally submit, having the necessity of preventing demons and obstacles from finding an opportunity to peep. If desired, perform the entrance ceremony and other rituals according to the tradition of the early tantras. Again, visualize the rays of light emanating from the stake, transforming into a vajra fence, pervading all ten directions. Recite: Om Vajra Raksha Raksha Hum Hum Phat Phat Svaha. And circumambulate with the majestic gait of a vajra. Thus, if one constructs a sand mandala with colored powders in an old house or other places of the mandala, it is necessary to invoke, purify, and protect the invisible. If relying on a painting, the Indian masters believe that only invocation and protection are necessary. At this time, if it is related to the great empowerment accomplishment practice, the external confession ritual is as stated in the root Vajra Fortress: Recite scriptures, offer water torma, erect tsatsas, offer white images, at this time recite the names of Tara, extract the secret essence, perform completion and confession, etc. In addition, recite the Prajnaparamita Sutra in the east, the Mahabala Sutra in the south, the Lankavatara Sutra in the west, and the Ushnishavijaya Dharani in the north, etc., accumulating as much merit as possible. In particular, the preliminary practices of the mandala ritual, the three vows of outer, inner, and secret, etc., should be learned by inquiring separately from the appendix. Second, the preparation or special abiding ritual has three parts: the deity, the vase, and the disciple. The first is: In other places, first draw blue lines, and place a musk dot at the deity's dwelling place.
