It is only the practice. In the commentary, the Omniscient One said: If one falls from these vows and it does not exceed a day, it is called a violation of the vow, and it can be purified by confessing immediately. If it exceeds a day but does not exceed a month, it is called deterioration, and it can be purified by completing the confession seven times, etc. If it exceeds a month but does not exceed a year, it is called past, and for this, one needs to offer a hundred feasts and offer one's own children, wealth, and enjoyment to purify it. If it exceeds a year but does not reach three years, it is called damaged, and it can be restored by replenishing it with one's own life. If one does not confess within three years and exceeds this limit, then the vow cannot be restored. As it is said, the deterioration remains in the continuum, and like a disease that worsens and cannot be cured with antidotal medicine, the opportunity to restore it has passed. Because it is more subtle and difficult to protect than the two lower vows, it must be subdued with antidotes and always protected without deterioration. If the signs of deterioration begin to appear, it is also extremely important to immediately strive to confess. As it has just been said, and as the vows were taken earlier during the preparation stage, for the main practice, one has the right to protect them. The vows of the common divisions of the generation and completion stages that are explicitly stated are said to be obtained through the ritual of promising to determine the lineage. In particular, the mantra vows of the two stages are obtained together with the seeds of the respective empowerments being placed in the continuum after the respective four empowerments, so the time to fully obtain the mantra vows must depend on the ultimate of the four empowerments. Even so, not only is there a form of obtaining through a commitment ritual, but one must also abide by the corresponding vows. Therefore, these special vows are not given to people who have not guarded the boundaries of vows and precepts, or for reasons such as eliminating their own verbal karma and diseases, or for those who need to perform purification, nor are the higher supreme empowerments given. The difference between the vows and precepts of the new and old tantras is that the Peaceful One said: A vow is something that should not be transgressed. A precept is the certainty of what should and should not be done. Thus, they are established as having the same essence but different aspects. If it is a mantra vow, then it pervades both the vow and the precept. If it is a vow, then it does not pervade the precept, i.e., the vows of the two practices.

For those who do not have vows of individual liberation, it is also considered that vows exist in the mindstream of those who have broken their mantra vows. This is completely in line with the views of the great beings and accomplished great beings. Even so, nowadays, in this degenerate age, exemplified by empowerment, those Vajra masters who do not distinguish the recipients of empowerment between ripened disciples and disciples of interest, their hearts are undoubtedly occupied by the demon of desire, so it is extremely important to draw a line. Then, the way to actually enter and prostrate through the door of action is: enter the mandala palace, and it is the same even if the curtains are removed. Say: Oh, in order for you to enter the sacred mandala, after we open the four immeasurable doors of the great mandala through the door of mantra and mudra, hold the action vajra hand arising from the heart of the main deity, starting from the east door, clockwise, generate the intention to enter the four doors. Emaho! Self-born wisdom, outer and inner offerings, A gathering of offerings. Offer without remainder to the three roots. Om Vajra Utpataya Samaya Prabeshaya Hum! (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨུཏྤ་ཏ་ཡ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra utpātaya, Chinese literal meaning: Om, Vajra, arise!), Samaya Prabeshaya Hum! (Tibetan: ས་མ་ཡ་པྲ་བེ་ཤ་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: samaya praveśaya hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Vow, enter, Hum!) Thus, form the four immeasurable mudras and open the doors. Then, if it is convenient, have the disciples recite three mantra phrases in order from the east door, and then join their palms together in order at the three places of the hairline, throat, and heart, and perform the prostrations of body, speech, and mind three times at each of the four doors. If it is not convenient, then have them visualize and follow the mantra. Om Namate Hum! (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ན་མ་ཏེ་ཧཱུྃ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ nama te hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om, Homage, You, Hum!), Om Namame Hum! (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ན་མ་མེ་ཧཱུྃ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ nama me hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om, Homage, Me, Hum!), Om Namonama Hum! (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ན་མོ་ན་མ་ཧཱུྃ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ namo nama hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om, Homage, Homage, Hum!) Thus prostrate, the above is the outer entry. In addition, it is said in the Compendium Sutra: This is the Vajra vow to enter the great mandala. A Kham Bira Hum! (Tibetan: ཨ་ཁཾ་བི་ར་ཧཱུྃ༔, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: a khaṃ bi ra hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: A, Kham, Bi, ra, Hum!) Thus it is said that when entering the mandala, it is the mantra recited by the guru. Such entry is necessary before empowerment. Why is this so? Because one will become equal to the deity, and in the future, one will actually enjoy the palace of the deity, which is to establish this interdependence, so it is very important to understand its meaning. Second is the inner entry: You are seated on the cushions on the steps of the east door of the mandala, and rays of light emanate from the seed syllables in the hearts of the main deity couple.
