Having wrong views about the Dharma, associating with (afflictions), and arrogance arising from hearing the Dharma, etc., these become companions of Dharma afflictions, which are the three faults of the vessel. Similarly, the six stains are: arrogance and disbelief, not seeking profound meaning, outward distraction gathered inward, aversion to listening to the Dharma are stains. As stated in the 'Discrimination Treatise,' from the perspective of listening to the Dharma, arrogance arises from thinking oneself superior to others; disbelief arises from thinking that one also has the ability to teach and explain the Dharma; not seeking profound meaning due to procrastination and laziness; the six senses are scattered in mundane affairs, and the mind is unsettled; becoming drowsy while listening to the Dharma, or presumptuously gathering the mind into a state of meditation; the Dharma session is too long, or feeling bored due to not understanding. To counteract these, the sutra says, "Monks, listen well and keep it in mind!" Therefore, one should overcome what should be abandoned, and cultivate the four attentions and the six perfections. As stated in the 'Adornment of the Tree Sutra,' "Noble son, you should generate the perception of yourself as a patient, generate the perception of the Dharma as medicine, generate the perception of diligent practice as nursing, and generate the perception of the virtuous friend as a skilled doctor." And as stated in the 'Manifestation Sutra of Buddha's Conduct,' "Offer flowers, cushions, etc., restrain bodily conduct, do not harm all sentient beings, pray to the Lama, listen to the Lama's instructions without distraction, and ask questions to dispel doubts. Tara possesses six limbs." Please contemplate the meaning of these words and listen. Why? Because even hearing a single word of the holy Dharma, even if heard by an animal, has the power to liberate from the lower realms, as stated in the ocean of sutras and tantras. As the great accomplished Longchenpa said, "Even sentient beings who hear the sound of the Dharma drum being proclaimed can be liberated from the lower realms, what need is there to mention those who listen?" Therefore, we gather for the sake of the Dharma, gathering from all directions, having obtained the precious human body of leisure and endowment, having the fortune to attain Buddhahood in one lifetime and one body, now is the auspicious moment to prepare for the future.

Sapa is what the teacher Shantideva said. This leisure and endowment is extremely difficult to obtain. It is to achieve the purpose of a great person. If you do not strive to accomplish benefit in this life, how can you have perfect wealth in the future? Because of this teaching, one must drink the profound nectar of the holy Dharma and diligently practice to seek the attainment of liberation and the state of omniscience. When taking it like that, The Buddhas of the three times are skilled in means and have great compassion. Not only do they teach the various faculties of sentient beings, but they also teach the corresponding methods of taming. If all the categories of Dharma are collected, they can be summarized into the two vehicles of the Greater and Lesser Vehicles. If we divide it into subcategories, according to the Lankavatara Sutra: The vehicle of the gods and the vehicle of Brahma, likewise, the Hearer, the Thus Come One, and the Solitary Realizer, the vehicles are said to be different. Thus, there are two vehicles of higher realms. There are three vehicles of definite goodness and five categories. Depending on the path to be traveled, there is the Vajra Vehicle of liberation. In the early translations, in the Kun Byed Gyalpo (All Creating King) it says: There are two types of vehicles, namely the vehicle of characteristic cause, and the vehicle of the fruit Vajra. Thus, in the order of the three turnings of the wheel, there is the cause Paramita Vehicle, and the determination of the four or six tantra sections is called the fruit Secret Mantra Vajra Vehicle. In that very text, it is said that it is superior because of the many special characteristics of secret mantras, as it says in the Ra li Tantra: View, conduct, mind holding, tantra, path, and fruit, time, enjoyment, yoga, self, other, time, and need, little labor and no deviation, the difference in accumulating merit, etc., with fifteen differences, the Vidyadhara Vehicle is particularly superior. As such, why is it called the Fruit Vehicle? The Sambhuti says: Even the Buddhas, who are difficult to accomplish in billions of kalpas, are given in this very life, therefore it is called the Fruit Vehicle. It is said that although there is no distinction between new and old in the land of the noble ones for the Fruit Vehicle with such noble qualities, in this land, depending on the translators, it is known as the new and old secret mantras. Therefore, according to the new mantras, it refers to the four races, the four types of intelligence, and the time.
