Words that are true and touch the heart, In a gentle manner, protect both self and others, minimizing harm. (13) Though hundreds of doors of mind and mental events are opened, There is nothing like desire to create turmoil. Those sentient beings under its control, Many go through fire and water, and engage in warfare. (14) Not knowing contentment and difficult to fill, Stingy in giving and guarding like mice. Praising oneself and denigrating others, delighting in samsara, One should flee from childish and sinful friends. (15) Except for those who have seen the truth, Regarding the eight worldly concerns such as gain and loss, All those who are called ascetics, Brahmins, and lamas, Are deceptive and have not taken vows; it is not true. (16) Having sinful views and openly engaging in evil deeds, Even if it is for the sake of others, the result of that, One's own self is ground down, like a wheel under pressure, When touched, there is no share to be divided with others. (17) Like a row adorned with beautiful ornaments like a man, Although they abide as if thought and action are in harmony, Because thoughts are diverse and good and evil are different, Therefore, in the next world, they go to different places. (18) Lazy people are also with sinful friends and Wine. Seeing them, gambling, theft at night, With a mind that does not care about meat-eating demons, Look at the diligence of those whose reputation is ruined. (19) Such evil deeds, obsessed with perverted knowledge, After planning to strive for and protect that side, Faith, generosity, discipline, shame, embarrassment, Much learning, and the seven riches of wisdom should be cultivated. (20) His mindfulness, close placement, and so on, One should enter the path of the Dharma of the limbs of enlightenment, The four paths of learning and the path of non-learning, Ultimately, one will approach the cessation of suffering, nirvana. (21) In short, what need is there to say more, Even if a wise person goes astray, By the power of wisdom itself, from wherever, One can enter the right path by one's own strength. (22) Thus, seeing the various declines of time, And the changes of the four seasons, the letters of renunciation of birth, old age, sickness, and death being distributed, One should strive for the sake of accomplishing liberation. (23) That liberation is also the mind that is not predicted, Hating the Dharma of near peace, The root of dependent origination arising in order is not cut off, One should cultivate the Dharma of no birth. (24) Thus cultivating, Then in the realm of the three doors of liberation, Become familiar.
