Will be diligent. Thus, having done the deed praised by the Buddha, sentient beings once fall into hell, and because of that very deed and that very root of virtue, and the previous good conduct, having been liberated from that, they will not fall back into lower realms for twenty kalpas. Having shaved their hair and beard, and donned saffron robes, they will properly go forth from home to homelessness, and manifest self-awakening, becoming a self-Buddha named the Victorious Host. Such as these, and so on, are countless. Being proud of gain and greedy of wealth are the seeds of the truth of suffering. The fruits of children's generosity, which have passed before, are like the drama of lightning clouds. For example, there is no second bird, the wisdom of the noble ones is the subsequent attainment. Gold and donkeys are of equal value, and all three wheels fall into the right direction. Those who have contentment are masters of the treasury of the holy ones. They are neither happy nor unhappy with gain, nor do they strive. They do not allow indulgence in inappropriate places, but create the ripening fruit in the realm. The elephant hook of five hundred hundreds. The offering pillar of molten white silver that is lifted up. Able to bear the burden of many refined precious jewels. The story of the time when the jewel earrings sway. This was also composed by the great perfection master Rangjung Dorje for the purpose of the long-lasting existence of the Buddha's teachings and the increase of the happiness of beings. From the wealth of five hundred silver srangs, he newly created the great offering pillar and, according to the prophecy of the victorious Padma, invited it to be placed in the central hall of Samye Monastery. End of the fourth chapter of the Collection of Stories. Chapter Five of the Collection of Stories: The Treasure of Precious Words of Poetry. The Treasure of Precious Words of Poetry. In Sanskrit: Kavya Shastra Ratna Nidhi Nama. In Tibetan: The Treasure of Precious Words of Poetry. Homage to the Lion of Speech. The daughter of Brahma, with a beautiful body. Speech captivates the minds of all sentient beings. May Saraswati today be here. Abiding in the splendor of my throat. Having said this, through the door of the auspicious connection of appearance arising as words, in the second chapter of the poetry of glorious Dandin, according to the way of previous scholars, the examples of the thirty-five ornaments of meaning, which are summaries of the divisions, are for the beginners who are fond of intelligence.

In order to make it easy to understand, let's now explain. First, the adornment of describing the nature of merit refers to descriptions without fabrication or slander. For example: Today, the pillar appears before my eyes, as a condition, in the vast belly of the earth, the branches of the trees have also matured. Look here, the hundred-story building has become the nourishment of life. This is the first example. Second, the adornment of simile is to combine two similar things in similar places and with similar properties. For example, bamboo is connected because it is not seen, completely straight like a water tree, a group like Durva grass is rare, with leaves like new emeralds, this is only the characteristic of bamboo. Or, for example: Drinking youth with feet is very similar to a young lotus, the petals are like blue utpala (Sanskrit: utpala, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: utpala, Chinese literal meaning: blue lotus), the joints are like the bracelets of a beautiful woman. The above is a simile of things, and the following is a simile of Dharma. Third, the adornment of personification, unlike the previous one, which only compares two similar things in similar places and with similar properties, transforms the thing itself into the image of a simile, like this: The Sage (Buddha), with the teachings and realizations of your five faces (five wisdoms), when shaking the blue silk of various vehicles (teachings), all the beasts that proclaim three hundred heresies flee to the dense forest of permanence and annihilation. This is the third example. Fourth, the adornment of clarification is to connect the main characteristic to be expressed with all the expressions of the state in which that characteristic is located, and to name it with the clear name of that state, regardless of whether it exists at the beginning, middle, or end. For example: The young concubine in front of the king, the beautiful rainbow feathers on the peacock's neck, the white lotuses blooming in the garden, will steal the hearts of all those who are greedy. This is the fourth example. Fifth, the adornment of circumlocution is to circumscribe the beginning, end, and middle of the four lines of poetry in various ways with words that express the same meaning. For example: Since the elements of the obstructed body are purified, what can the bow of the senses surpass? Since the connection of the coming and going breaths is cut off, it no longer emits the sound and echo of rocks. Completely free from the defilements of various delusions, there is no change of light and darkness in his heart. The actions of the Vajra Youth born from the sea are those of the senses.
