Firstly, in order for a person with a special basis to attain the state of omniscience, it is necessary to realize the meaning of emptiness without distortion. Otherwise, the other five paths, such as generosity, are like a blind person, as it is said: "Blind people without a goal, billions and trillions, do not know the path, how can they enter the city? Likewise, these five perfections without the eye of wisdom, without a goal, cannot touch enlightenment." Therefore, although it is so, in order to examine the wisdom that is close to the true meaning, not with the intention of praising oneself and subduing others with inverted intentions, if one obtains the courage to debate and answer, then both are the activities of the Victorious One, so one should look at them with an equal mind. In this regard, the teacher Nagarjuna said: "If one views emptiness wrongly, then those with little wisdom will be destroyed, just as a snake is grasped badly, and a mantra is recited in reverse." Although this is quoted as a definitive statement to dispel the ignorance that is confused about reality, the ignorance newly generated by intention makes all ordinary people bad, and by remaining as the object of knowledge of the ultimate truth that is not a category, it again increases pride and arrogance, so even the wise should abandon the imputation of the nature of the knower to the object, as it is said in the Sutra on the Inconceivable Realm of the Buddha: "Obtaining is called wavering, realization is called arrogance, wavering and arrogance are the work of Mara. Those with excessive pride will think, 'I have obtained, I have realized.'" Therefore, among the four Buddhist schools, the definitive reality, the view of the Great Madhyamaka school, is consistent in the ultimate object to be realized. In this regard, in the vehicle of cause, it is the Prajnaparamita, in the general mantra path, it is the supreme accomplishment of the Great Seal, and in the path of means, it is the co-emergent wisdom. Even if those stable things that are so called are measured from the high ground of the school, the measuring wisdom itself is the leakage of the aggregates and the accumulation of consciousness.

Because the intellect of conceptualization, mixed and contaminated by the eight worldly concerns, diverts knowledge from its inherent nature. Therefore, in accordance with the lower tenets, the Blessed One initially taught how to be free from attachment to the five aggregates, saying: 'Monks, form is not self. If form were self, form would not be subject to harm and suffering. And with regard to form, there would be the possibility of saying, "May my form be like this, may it not be like that." But since form is not self, form is subject to harm and suffering. And there is no power to say with regard to form, "May my form be like this, may it not be like that." ' This is also applied to the other four aggregates. Thus, when all views of the perishable aggregate are completely pacified, the aggregates of consciousness, which act as objects and object-possessors, will also dissolve on their own, and the noble truth will be directly seen. At that time, the undifferentiated, free from elaboration, self-arising wisdom of truth, or the samadhi of the first ground, which is the nature of meaning itself, will be directly realized. Otherwise, one analyzes and examines the profound nature of reality, which is free from all extremes of elaboration, with the wisdom of hearing and thinking, thereby generating great certainty, and remaining closely in a state of decisiveness that is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence. This is merely the conventional substance of mind or consciousness. As it says in the sutra, 'How should one meditate on the path?' The Buddha replied, 'Do not discriminate between dharma and non-dharma; meditate on the path that is free from characteristics.' Shantideva also said, 'Ultimate truth is not the object of the mind; mind is said to be conventional truth.' Some, unable to bear the face of this quote, claim that there is a particular mind. This is ignorance of even the definition of conventional truth. For 'conventional' refers to all deluded mental appearances without exception. 'Truth' means that all of these are false, deceptive, concealing, empty, worthless, and obscure the true meaning, hence it is called 'truth.' 'True' because it is true in the face of deluded consciousness, hence it is called 'true.' Furthermore, the consciousness of ordinary beings depends on permanence and annihilation, so it is conventional truth, while the noble ones are the opposite, so it is manifest truth. Therefore, hearing and thinking can cut through imputation.
