Merely relying on actions and intentions, these two dharmas cannot remove the two obscurations. Because the *Confession Tantra* says, "Actions, intentions, and consciousness are completely pure." This contradicts the above view. However, since it is the essence of meditation that distinguishes meaning, action is the cause of obtaining the mindfulness of the accumulation path and the power of mindfulness of the joining path, it is only the stepping stone of the seeing path. Here, the Great Perfection of Self-Nature is the supreme path, the Tathagata's virtuous meditation, therefore, the mindfulness of Dharmata does not allow speculative knowledge to defile the great beyond consciousness. For primordial liberation, one does not meditate on liberation again. Simplicity, abiding, autonomy, non-contrived, unadulterated is called ordinary consciousness. However, because it is known by empty names, it chooses rich Dharma terms such as Suchness, freedom from elaboration, no self-nature, and Dharmadhatu, and decorates the two truths like the horns of a yak. Mistaking it for understanding, experience, and realization, abandoning the path truth, proclaiming the secret words of profound tantras and agamas, and the Doha Treasury, etc., as the view of Heshang, is too strange. Now, even the term "mindfulness" is often spoken from the mouths of foolish meditators, but in reality, there are three types of mindfulness: mindfulness that recognizes one's own nature, mindfulness that does not deviate from it, and mindfulness that has no self-nature. The first two are intellectual obscurations with attachment to objects, and in order to remove them, one must strive to accumulate merit through faith and compassion. The latter is the accumulation of wisdom, so in order to perfect it, do not meditate, but accompany the unconfused clear essence of Bodhicitta. As the tantra says, "As long as the eighth ground is not attained, one is frightened by the lower vehicle." Therefore, the mantra path emphasizes the result, and although the meaning is profound, it is a wisdom that arises temporarily as a means, so the increase and decrease are large, and the state is unstable. This can be illustrated by the wisdom of obtaining the third empowerment. In particular, due to stimulating the energy channels and bindus, no matter what kind of experience and realization arises, there is an alternating increase and decrease. However, when the correct mindfulness that does not cling to emptiness and does not allow thought becomes broad and vast, and when thoughts change in a state where self-nature is not established, and when the conceptual thoughts of attachment and aversion dissipate like cutting water with a sword, then the elaboration of thought is destroyed.

As it says in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: "Ultimate wisdom is not an object of action, wisdom is considered to be conventional." To destroy it like this, one needs to prolong the time of meditation. In general, from the perspective of the Pāramitā vehicle, it is said that the transformation of the five sense consciousnesses into wisdom occurs at a high level. So, those individuals who meditate alternately, because they are under the influence of the five aggregates and the eight consciousnesses, sometimes, due to the profound key points of view and meditation arising from the skillful means of mantra, realizations arise simultaneously, and when the truth of the path appears as conventional, each has a special appearance of self-aware wisdom. Sometimes, due to being deceived by external circumstances and wind-mind, the very nature of realization is obscured, and the appearance of the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and delusion arises uncontrollably. At that time, if one is not taken care of by a holy guru and does not understand the acceptance and rejection of the three vows of individual liberation, bodhisattva, and mantra, and the nature of reality, yet thinks that one has recognized the nature of mind, and holds onto a dull, dark, and confused thing as meditation, most of the foolish meditators who use afflictions as occasional events will go to the lower realms. Furthermore, some individuals who have much learning but are attached to the purification and liberation of cause and effect are controlled by the antidote of emptiness, and with sharp discrimination, they think that the view and conduct of mantra and the Pāramitās are contradictory, thereby obscuring their self-arising wisdom. There are those who think that they are stained by such misdeeds in places of defeat and precepts, represented by the four root downfalls. This is because they do not trust the skillful means of mantra, and the view of emptiness has not overcome the conventional. However, in the post-meditation state, not even considering the basis for establishing harm is a cause for the destruction of the bodhisattva vows. If one suspects that other acceptances and rejections are faults, then that is an image of virtuous and non-virtuous thoughts. Because conceptual thoughts have not ceased, karma also follows, so since the conventional truth is not obstructed, confession and vows without a hidden mind in the first moment are permissible. In the time of Lama Lhaje Rinpoche, a person with meditative experience felt great regret for having consumed scriptures, and his realization also diminished. When he reported this to the Lama, the Lama said, "Build that scripture itself." Because he was annoyed by the distraction of building and it became an obstacle to meditation, there is no greater purification of obscurations than recognizing the nature of mind.
