Dangerous memory has no residue. Because there is no examination of the essence, memory naturally disappears. Due to the calculation of the dharma nature, memory naturally dissipates. Because there is no confusion in wisdom, the wisdom of memory cannot be established. Here, in the *Stages of Meditation*, it says: If even without memory and attention, there is no proper discrimination, then how can one enter the selflessness of all dharmas? Even if all dharmas only abide in their own emptiness, without discrimination, one will not realize their emptiness. And so on, because these characteristics are very different, memory itself is proven to be the object of discrimination. Moreover, holding this view, which is very famous in the snowy mountains, all views that have attained accomplishment through that path are not correct. There are many who say this. Only the Bhagavan knows the Madhyamaka that abides in the reality of things, and its ultimate state is also the Dharmakaya. Therefore, if its characteristics contradict the knowable objects of conceptual analysis, then here, although I do not like to uphold my own view as supreme through the tenets of debate and denigrate others, I will briefly explain some certain points for those who are extremely attached and ignorant so that they do not have doubts. The path of self-nature and the way of abiding, which are seen by the pure wisdom born of meditation, have already been extensively explained above and will be explained further. Some people think that the Svatantrika Madhyamaka view has already been occupied by the Prasangika. As Atisha's *Entering the Two Truths* says: For form, it is composed of atoms, and if one observes by analyzing the parts, then nothing extremely small remains, and nothing extremely apparent exists. For non-form, it is mind, for example, the past mind has ceased and disappeared, the future mind has not yet arisen and appeared, and the present mind is also extremely difficult to observe, because it has no color, no shape, is similar to space, is not composed of substance, or is separated from one and many, or has not arisen, or it is naturally luminous, and so on. If one analyzes and observes with the weapon of wisdom, one will realize that it is not established. Thus, since both are not established in any essence and are merely non-existent, then the discriminating wisdom itself is also

It is not established. For example, when two pieces of wood are rubbed together, the fire that arises causes both pieces of wood to burn and disappear. Similarly, when all phenomena of self and generality are exhausted, wisdom itself is without appearance and luminosity. All faults such as sinking and excitement, which are not established in any essence, are eliminated. In that interval, consciousness does not cognize anything, nor does it grasp anything. Abandoning all memory and attention, one should abide in such consciousness until the enemy of signs or discriminations, or the thief, does not arise. So it is said. Thus, this profound wisdom mantra of the Perfection of Wisdom, since all memory is discrimination, and all discrimination is not contrary to attachment, even in the ultimate state, it can prevent the great demon of desire for meat. Thus, if the dharma of memory is extremely diminished, is it not similar to the unmentioned of the five states of mindlessness mentioned in the Middle Way, such as deep sleep and fainting? If those are also grasped by means, how can they become unmentioned? Even if one thinks of them as common, there is no time for similarity, because memory and attention are what should be abandoned, and they are established by the door of the antidote to abandoning them. Therefore, during this time, it appears in the wisdom of discrimination, becoming the close taker of mind, speech, thought, intention, birth, and nature. Here, the wisdom free from mind sees the nature of dharma without memory, the wisdom free from speech knows the meaning of the scriptures, the wisdom free from thought is not confused about the way of abiding of the essence, the wisdom beyond intention appears in the higher vision where memory is exhausted, the wisdom that cuts off birth is liberated from afflictions, the wisdom free from nature knows the distinction of non-discrimination, and from the point of view of opening up, the awareness of self-luminous nature is extremely pure, becoming the source of all qualities such as the eye and clairvoyance, total retention and exhaustive knowledge, wish-knowledge and the ten powers, which never cease. Here, in the state of the Paramita self-
