Seen by the pure divine eye of the same kind. The irreversible one is a Gandharva. If this is not clear, then the name and meaning of Gandharva attendant will also become false. In general, in the Ratnakuta Sutra, it says: All dharmas are causes and conditions, abiding at the peak of intention. If mindfulness is not placed nearby, then other than pretas, dedicating to the six realms of beings as guests of compassion is also a wonder. Fourth, listening: Not like a Pratyekabuddha who enters the path at will and does not benefit others from its dependent arising, but relies on a virtuous friend to listen to the Dharma, and proclaims what one has heard to others, just as the beings to be tamed of the first turning of the wheel are known as listeners and proclaimers or Shravakas. All the Dharma of the Great and Small Vehicles must be listened to by relying on a virtuous friend, as it says in the Compendium: Good disciples are respectful to the Lama, they should always rely on wise Lamas. Why? Because the qualities of the wise arise from that. So, how to listen? Avoid the three faults of the vessel: mouth down, bottom with a hole, poisonous. Similarly, six stains should be removed. In the Sutra of Discrimination of Wisdom, it says: Pride and disbelief, and not seeking meaning, outward distraction, inward contraction, discouragement are the stains of listening. For the pride arising from lineage, appearance, and wealth, and the disbelief arising from being with the Lama, not seeking the meaning of the Dharma words, the consciousness being distracted outward, the thought of despising the truth of the path being contracted inward, etc., as remedies, it says in the Compendium: Joy, respect, and supreme faith are the near cause, clearing away obscurations and afflictions, transcending stains, manifesting entry for the benefit of beings, having decisive wisdom reaching the other shore, what the brave ones practice, that is listening. Mindfulness should be placed nearby, and as it says in the Avatamsaka Sutra, regard the Lama as a doctor, the Dharma as medicine, oneself as a patient, and diligence as nursing, generating four perceptions and listening. That is, for the Dharma spoken by the teacher, in the form of Ali Kali, visualize oneself as the noble Manjushri, Vajrapani, Tara, etc., dissolving into the heart, this is the key. Thus, the benefits of listening to the Dharma are immeasurable. The Victorious Longchenpa said: Sounding the drum of the Dharma

As it is said, even sentient beings who merely hear sounds can be liberated from the lower realms, what need is there to mention those who listen (to the Dharma)? Like this, one's own mental continuum's obscurations are thinned, regret arises for mistakes in what to adopt and abandon, weariness and renunciation are generated, the path of the two truths is known, the seeds of liberation and omniscience are planted in one's own continuum, and even in the bardo, these things come to mind. For example, yakshas dwelling in wildernesses, and classes of spirits such as hair, needles, poisons, etc., and King Ashoka, King Ajatashatru, and even cruel and fierce individuals like Angulimala, relied on hearing the holy Dharma to turn away from great misdeeds and turn towards the path of liberation. Furthermore, some, even when the five perfections are gathered before them, say, "I have heard this Dharma once before, so I don't need it now." Or, when selling goods to others, they think, "What I heard before is enough." Merely holding this view in mind, without considering whether they have truly understood the meaning of the words of that Dharma, they consider themselves to have gained the benefit of hearing the Dharma, and they believe that cause and effect have been severed. Like this, they consider hearing the Dharma to be more joyful and profitable than knowing the vast aspects of the qualities of learning common to both internal and external subjects, such as sound, logic, crafts, etc. As it says in the Jataka: The young prince, longing only to hear the Dharma, heard the story of how he would give away priceless clothes and ornaments as offerings for the Dharma. Hearing this, an ordinary person, bound by all kinds of bonds, developed great greed and, knowing nothing, learned a single verse from another that contained the sound of the names of the Three Jewels, and then said to the prince, "I am also a teacher of the Dharma." Although he knew the characteristics of not knowing anything, because the verse contained the sound of the names of the Three Jewels, he developed supreme faith and listened to a single verse from that fool, and even gave up his own body as an offering for that verse. Therefore, we should rely on virtuous spiritual friends and virtuous companions, and listen to the Dharma in all ways, and even those who are slightly more intelligent than ourselves should be regarded as spiritual friends, and we should strive to listen to the Dharma. As it says in the Jataka: A pile of fire, a razor's
