And the two types of inner and outer gathering wheels, the emanation and gathering of light rays, the generation of the wisdom of bliss and emptiness, and the great mudra of offering, etc., condense the accumulations of many eons into a single moment. The third is generosity, which is divided into two: generosity focused on form and generosity focused on formlessness. The first has three types: the generosity of Dharma, the generosity of fearlessness, and the generosity of material things. The first is: This is the share of those with the highest capacity. It is not just about accomplishing temporary benefit and happiness, but to lead them to the path of higher realms and definite goodness through the generosity of Dharma that suits the capacity of the disciples, in order to place them in the ultimate state of enlightenment. As it is said in the vows of the five families, in the vows of the Padma family: "Explain the three vehicles and all the dharmas." The second is: To those who are frightened by various fears, including those facing life-threatening situations, give the refuge of fearlessness through the three: loving-kindness, compassion, and generosity. The third is the generosity of material things, which has three types: giving, great giving, and supreme giving. The first is: One should strive to continuously increase the accumulation of generosity to those who are afflicted by poverty. In the past, when a famine occurred in the kingdom ruled by the golden king, the king offered the only handful of grain in the treasury to a Pratyekabuddha, and through the merit of this, the famine in the country was pacified. Furthermore, the Buddha said: "Whatever is given to others is one's own. What one holds for oneself is another's." The second is: To those who are tormented by desire, one should learn to give away children, wives, and kingdoms. The third is: This is the realm of practice for the noble ones, which is to give away one's head, eyes, and limbs. Even if one cannot actually do it, one should make it the object of aspiration, like visualizing the giving away of one's body, which is in accordance with the aspiration for bodhicitta. The second is: To ghosts and spirits, give three portions of food and ransom offerings; to pretas, offer water libations. Among them are also the dharani called "Good Form," the essence of the Wisdom Meteor, the torma ritual for expelling the fire-mouthed preta woman, the dharani for giving refuge to the fire-mouthed one, and the dharani called "Removing Obstacles," etc. In the dharani of the fire-mouthed one, there are four names.

Some say to meditate on the four Tathagatas on the crown of the head, etc., but the actual teachings of the scriptures only mention the blessings and benefits of reciting their names, without explaining the objects of contemplation and meditation. Similarly, the term "four guests" is not mentioned, so this is just simple giving. Therefore, those who do not know the ritual of torma mixed with their own desires can also recite the mantra of Sambhara (སམ་བྷ་ར,Devanagari: सम्भर,IAST: saṃbhara,Literal meaning: Accumulation), or Surupa, or Great Power, or Jurgé, etc., and the four names to make water offerings. Similarly, one can also make offerings of the body, give chanbu to the robbed mother and child, offer incense to the Gandharvas, etc., as well as the famous deity offerings, sacrifices, water tormas, and hundred-four, etc., mentioned in the scriptures. For the guests who gather both offerings and giving, one should also strive to accumulate merit and virtuous Dharma. Because there is no sentient being who has not experienced this life, and no sentient being who has not been a parent, one should strive in every way to protect their lives, make friends with the middling, respect the lower, be their servants, repay debts, eliminate old grudges, etc., pacify internal and harmful things, etc., and fulfill wishes as desired. Similarly, for the giving of Dharma, one should also combine the Pratimoksha Sutra's clear instruction to "do no evil deeds," etc. Fearless giving is also not impossible, as Shantideva said: "When flower rain and fragrant water fall together, seeing the fires of hell extinguished and suddenly cool, what is this thought of happiness that arises? It is that the beings in hell see the lotus in the hand." Like that. Great Bodhisattvas are skilled at accumulating virtuous Dharma, so with the difference of aspiration, they can achieve it as desired. As it is said, in the vows of the Ratnagotravibhāga, "Giving is always given at the time of giving." Thus, if the nature of offerings is also summarized in the path of the six perfections, then it is the perfection of giving. As the Ratnamegha Sutra says, "Constantly also being the place of giving, becoming great" is clear. Some also say that intermediate beings do not receive food and smoke offerings, which is an obstacle to one's own and others' virtuous roots. Beings with physical bodies in past lives, with complete faculties, possess unobstructedness.
