Please don't! I must renounce the household life and diligently practice the asceticism of patience! Having said this, he was very happy and let him do as he pleased. Then, on the path where Rabsel emerged, he saw his elder brother, Blunpo (the Foolish One), setting fire at the edge of a large forest, while he himself was in the middle of the forest, covering his head and clinging to the warmth of the fire. Having seen this, he said: Alas, foolish people of the world! Not knowing the long-term destruction, they only care about immediate pleasure, like a foolish person setting fire to a forest! Having said this, Rabmong (the Extremely Foolish One) became enraged, looked around in all directions, and still mocked Rabsel. Those who are not wise but consider themselves wise, loudly proclaim that actions in accordance with the Dharma are not proper, and they themselves enter the wrong path. Then, Rabsel, dwelling in the great hermitage (Drok Gonpa Chenpo), as an upright ascetic, strictly observing the vows and practicing pure conduct, completely understood the selflessness of the person. When his wisdom also deeply penetrated the selflessness of phenomena and became very clear, Rabtre's (the Extremely Brave One's) behavior was full of many activities, his perverse wisdom was excessive, arrogant, and fierce, and his own very wealthy home was transformed into a beggar's hut in an instant. There, as he wandered around everywhere, somehow his younger brother Rabsel saw him and said: The foolish one sets fire to the forest, and although the distinction between what to adopt and what to abandon is right in front of him, he still clings to what is irrational. The fellow who has squandered his family fortune, only now distinguishes between the advantages and disadvantages, but it is too late and cannot be undone. This is also a corruption of wisdom! In this world or in other worlds, those who pride themselves on being wise do not accept the state of madness. Look at the difference between me and you! Having said this, he became enraged and, again in the guise of a beggar, took up the trade of hunting, and at the time of death, a vision of gathering and dissolving manifestly arose. If one enters the path of perverse wisdom, like a forest consumed by fire, the wind riding on conceptual thoughts will also become his demon. Alas, heavenly birds! The son Blunpo (the Foolish One) is just an ordinary human body! The middle one, Rabtre (the Extremely Brave One), is a huge human body! The youngest, Rabsel, is a precious human body! The meaning is this.

Therefore, it fully understands the distinctions of all worlds and the differences in wisdom. When he said this, the flocks of heavenly birds thought, 'We and all these worlds are extremely ignorant of what to accept and reject, practically blind.' So they prayed: 'O, wondrous! Bodhisattva Rabbit! You are the treasure of excellent wisdom, your fame is widely known in the world, your image is clearly visible in the moon. You possess inconceivable courage, your ears are held high. You have completely cut off the paths of the lower realms, so falling downwards is not the act of the wise. You go from one higher state to another, quickly ascending to the peak of the mountain king through asceticism. Now, please teach us the supreme Dharma that arises from emptiness and compassion!' When they requested this, the rabbit, abiding in the posture of the Dharmakaya, without moving, said: 'Listen, we live in the forest, and even the merit of simply abiding here is inconceivable and beyond words. The forest is praised by the Buddhas. In the forest, there is no trade or agriculture, nor is there worldly distraction. There are no sinful friends either. The number of children is very few. There are green trees that are pleasing to see, soft cotton trees to touch, and delicious sprouts to eat, etc. Without effort or struggle, one obtains countless qualities of desirable things.' There, if there are no coarse worldly activities, where would there be fighting and quarreling? One naturally abides in great equanimity. Beings of the same kind do not harm each other, only loving-kindness. If the other encounters adverse conditions, that suffering is compassion. Whoever becomes perfect, does not envy, but rejoices. Like this, with the four Brahma-viharas, those who are naturally gentle, if their essence is not the tree itself, and if their nature does not simultaneously possess great compassion, how could they go on the path to Bodhi? The aspiration that acts with faith, its main characteristic is being free from partiality. The actions related to this are giving and complete giving, and extremely great giving. The first is giving food and enjoyment, the second is giving children and wives, the third is giving body and life. Through giving, one trains in the perfections. One refrains from one's own misdeeds, and causes others to...
