In "Lawa," it is said: Nowadays, those who have the intention of deceiving the objects of offering offer inferior things to the Three Jewels. Moreover, one should not be like consuming the essence of butter oneself, but offering inferior tea residue and lamps to the Three Jewels. However, for those who have little power, if they cannot obtain excellent offerings themselves and can only offer with things given to them by others, it is not unacceptable. Because good and evil depend on the goodness or badness of the intention. Similarly, when making food, one should not make simple offerings because one wants to make them easily. Jowo (Atisha) said, "Tibetans will not become rich because they make simple tormas." Therefore, it should be made to the extent that one can eat it oneself. Even if offered to the Three Jewels, one should not think that the taste does not matter, which is not a generous offering. If there is no prohibition that relying on it will cause future interruption, then it is best to give the remains of the offerings to the poor. Because, if I do not completely abandon myself, I cannot get rid of suffering. Just as not abandoning fire, one cannot avoid being burned. Therefore, one should remember the deeds of some holy lamas in the past who discarded tormas made of thousands of loads of tsampa on the hillside, thereby learning to cut off greed. In addition, with the idea of offering to the guardian deities, arranging clean objects and arranging them in a special way, just as the scripture says: "With the supreme offerings of arrangement, I offer to those Buddhas." Here, the word "arrangement," Nagarjuna and Gunavara say: "The word 'arrangement' here is synonymous with collection, meaning offering all the most excellent offerings of gods and humans to all the Buddhas." Another saying is that Shakya Mitra said: "Arrangement refers to tall buildings, pavilions, temples, temples with vases, and elaborately decorated clean rooms, etc., from various forms made of materials such as sandalwood to materials such as bricks and tiles." If we talk about the excellence of arrangement from the way of arrangement, we can make a four- or five-tiered offering table, and arrange offering water, etc. in order from the top layer. However, because the light is easily damaged by smoke, it should be placed on the top layer.
