Though the manifestations of miraculous power are immeasurable, one enjoys them within one's own appearances. In that place, food, clothing, medicine, and so on, arise merely through thought. Things like being born miraculously from lotuses, are inconceivable realms of experience. In the Drum Sound Sutra, it is said: "In the realm of Sukhavati (Tibetan: Dewachen), there resides the fully enlightened Buddha. That Thus-Gone One is named Amitayus (Tibetan: Tsepakme). Whoever utters his name, will be born in that realm. At the time of death, when the signs appear, one will see monks and the Sangha. In that place, there are no women, nor are there beings dwelling in the womb. From lotuses made of precious jewels, great miraculous powers will arise. Food, clothing, and medicines, monk's robes, bedding, and alms bowls, whatever one thinks of in one's mind, will abundantly arise. The Buddhas residing in the ten directions, speak praises of Sukhavati." So it is said. Then, in the thirty-third question: Are meditative equipoise (Skt: Samatha, Tibetan: Nyamzhak) and post-meditation (Skt: Vyutthana, Tibetan: Jethob) one or different? If they are one, dividing them into two is contradictory. If they are different, then the awareness of that very ground, would become two separate entities. To this question, the answer is given: In the essence of meditative equipoise, know all phenomena to be like the sky. Through the wisdom of post-meditation, distinguish all phenomena without mixing them. This is the intent of the Sutra and Prajnaparamita. Especially in the Dzogchen tradition, the play of appearances, sounds, and conceptual thoughts, however they may move, are one with the expanse of reality, and the great perfection of luminous emptiness in union. Completely absorbed in meditative equipoise, and from that, the emanations and transformations, which are the aspect of compassion, are intentionally established, and the understanding of the emptiness of their nature, is labeled as post-meditation. But in ultimate meaning, they are not two: like the sun and its own light, water and its nature of coolness, fire and its tangible heat. Like that, from the aspect of the essence and nature, they are divided into two, but they are not contradictory substances. Just as one hand has a front and a back, and two names are established, from the division of aspects, it is spoken of in that way. In ultimate meaning, they are neither one nor two, but the vast expanse of the great liberation beyond extremes. When the stronghold of understanding is secured, meditative equipoise and post-meditation are primordially pure, and there is no need to separately label them. In the ordinary, naked awareness of luminous emptiness, there are no names for view, meditation, or conduct. From where, then, would one seek meditative equipoise and post-meditation? There is nothing to meditate on, for whom?

Busy! Without views, one realizes the nature of reality; without thoughts, one is free from grasping. In the vast expanse of wisdom and compassion's light, gods and demons are blessed. There are no signs of phenomenal accomplishment; as it is and as many as there are, the power of wisdom manifests, inwardly, inexpressible experiences arise, outwardly, profound Dharma treasures burst forth. This is not a nominal treatise that speculates by chasing after words and thoughts, but a profound mind-treasure scripture measured from the expanse of intrinsic nature. Ask the accomplished ones if it is so. All ordinary people, because they have not attained their own intention, feel ridiculous alone. This is not stubborn, self-righteous talk, swollen with pride, but the nature of experiential realization flowing from within, unable to be hidden, it is completely revealed.

And, the fruit of obtaining the thirteenth Vajra position is placed in the continuum. As such, the scriptures clearly show. Relying on that liberating method, in order to manifest the fruit of possessing the three bodies and five wisdoms, on the field where seeds are sown, like the operation of water and irrigation ditches, relying on the illusory wheel of various skillful means, until the fruits are abundant, like being busy with many affairs, with various symbolic methods, skillful means, and interdependent connections, in accordance with the path of the four empowerments, with different ways of accomplishing activities, one practices. Therefore, the two paths of maturation and liberation, like a bird flying in the sky, with two wings performing activities, are not different but united. If one only obtains the name of maturation, and does not know what liberation is, then for things like ripened barley, taking the barley directly as land, or cooking rice, etc., is not acceptable, would one want to eat it raw? Therefore, the activities of the four empowerments are the same as the ripening of fruit. Just as through speech, designation, and cooking, it becomes the nature of food, relying on the teachings of the liberating method, one combines the real fruit of meaning. In the thirty-fifth question: If one needs to choose between the two, ground and path, after completing the four empowerments, obtaining the power empowerment, obtaining the thirteenth Vajradhara position, what is the meaning of what is said? In response to the question, it is said as follows: The pure union of empowerment and ground, the names are inconceivable, taking four from one example, speaking truthfully is also unreasonable, but the intention of the great tantra, has been said before. However, it is manifested by the complete power of the maturing path, the arising of the profound Dharma nature of generation and completion, the body of power arising from interdependence, the way the nature of the ground is perfected is, from the complete gathering of the Eight Great Herukas. That is also from the beginning of obtaining empowerment, not degenerating and holding is the first ground, generating the common and supreme deity, holding the mind is the second ground, for the main deity of the mandala, holding the mind is the third ground, for the complete mandala, holding the mind is the fourth ground, the mandala wheel is completely clear, that is obtaining the fifth ground, from that more subtle atom, the mandala is clearly held in mind.
