Because it abides in coldness, it is called a tantra, as stated in the Pearl Rosary: 'Because it is to be represented, it is a means; because it abides in the tantra, it is called a tantra.' It is divided into the tantra of intrinsic meaning and the tantra of expressive words. The first is: the nature of mind itself, clear light, transcending the defilements of conceptual thought, its essence being the nature of essence, nature, and compassion, as stated earlier: possessing the nature of the Tathagatagarbha, skillfully distinguishing the essence of the tantra, which is not known by either samsara or nirvana. Possessing the indivisible vajra nature, the single basis representing one's own lineage, the nature of emptiness is one, the mother who gives birth to the perfect Buddha. So it is said. The second is the tantra of words: it is the place that represents it, fixed as the nature of names, words, and letters, measured by chapters and volumes, etc. The occasion for determination will be shown below. The complete conditions are: empowerment and vows, deities and mantras, mandalas and offerings, samadhi and conduct, activities and views, these ten being complete, the generation stage is the main one, and it is shown as the tantra of supreme means. Also, view and result, conduct and meditation, mind and wisdom, experience and instructions, these eight being complete, the completion stage is the main one, and it is taught along with the Prajnaparamita tantra. For the union of non-duality, both of these must be complete, so it is eighteen. The Great Perfection is: of the generation and completion stages, it belongs to the completion stage. Among them, there is also the completion stage of the subtle channels, winds, and bindus, and the completion stage of the non-conceptual clear light wisdom. The latter is the profound completion stage. It is the completion stage of the Great Clear Light. The complete conditions for this tantra are: the gateway to entry, empowerment and vows, the path and yoga, the result and the five are complete. The example is like weaving cloth: just as a piece of cloth is made from many strands of thread, a single meaning is drawn from various different expressions. The rationality is: one's own inherent qualities of the ground and result are spontaneously accomplished, which is represented by the tantra of the path, so it is rational in the tantra. If these individual natures are explained in detail, then the expressions will exceed the limits, so this is a summary. Second, the types of expressive words of the tantra are explained separately. First is mind.

Regarding the Mind Section, the texts translated into Tibetan are known as the "Eighteen Mind Series Without Mind." Among these, the five early translations by the great translator Vairochana are: "The Cuckoo of Wisdom," "The Great Shaking," "The Great Garuda Soaring," "Gold Melting on Stone," "The Unfailing Victory Banner," and "The Great Sky." "The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel." The thirteen later translations by the three, the great Pandit Mala, Kumarara, and Yu Zhā are: "The Peak of Accomplishment," "The King of Space," "The Miraculous Arrangement of Bliss," "The General Collection of Perfection," "The Essence of Bodhicitta," "The Vast Expanse of Bliss," "The Wheel of Life," "The Six Bindus," "The General Assembly of Perfection," "The All-Encompassing Lineage," "The Venerable Master," and "The Accomplisher of Purpose," etc. On top of these, adding the "All-Creating King Tantra" previously translated by Vairochana—a tantra whose view is like the sky, without beginning or end—as well as "Wonderful," the fourth chapter of the "Bodhicitta Sutra," the third chapter of the "Sutra of Counting Distinctions," the fifth chapter of the "Perfectly Endowed Sutra," and so on, there are ten Bodhicitta Sutras, each with its own small commentary, making ten meaning commentaries, plus five additional commentaries, and the four sections of Explanatory Tantras, etc. Most of these were translated from Chinese by the Pandit Shri Singha and the great translator Vairochana. The Omniscient Great Scholar, on top of the previous Eighteen Mind Series Without Mind, added the "All-Creating King Tantra," "Wonderful," and the thirteen Sutras, making a total of twenty-one Mind Section texts. It is said that many of the eighteen texts have similar names, but some are earlier or later, some are longer or shorter, and the translators are different. These are mostly preserved in the Nyingma tradition's canonical collections. The Space Section Tantras include: "Uprooting Samsara," "Precious Secret," "Effortless Action," "Vast Space," etc., said to number one hundred thousand. Similarly, the Instruction Section includes "Lotus Clear Space," "Lotus Empowerment," "The Wish-Fulfilling Thought Tantra," etc., said to number fifty-one thousand. Within the separate doors, there are "Buddha Union," "The Essence Tantra of the Bindu Circle," numbering five thousand three hundred, and those that arose from the "Secret Conduct Seed Tantra," as well as the seventeen Great Secret Definitive Tantras, including the Krodha Mother, making eighteen. The essence extracted from the sixty-four hundred thousand verses of the Great Perfection is the Heart Essence of Action...
