The thousand and two Buddhas will surely arise from this. Thus, it should be seen that even the thousand Buddhas who have appeared in this Sahā world to benefit sentient beings are due to the blessings of the three births of the teachings. Among them, the prophecy of the twelve teachers, who are particularly famous, is as follows: From that very text: \"Beings born from transformation, from eggs, from heat, and from wombs, are all ripened. From this very teaching of those to be tamed, twelve wheels of Dharma arise. Through this (twelve wheels of Dharma), the thirty-six activities of body, speech, and mind appear to the sentient beings to be tamed.\" It is said that its expanded nature is described in the supreme vehicle, the precious one, so it is not recorded here. Also, after Vajradhara established the realm of the Great Brahma, after countless eons had passed, when this realm began to form, these three births of the teachings resided in a realm called \"Moving\" in the north. In that realm, too, due to the individual karmas of sentient beings, these (three births of the teachings) appear for seven times and do not appear for seven times, thus fluctuating in rise and fall for fourteen times. The seven times of appearance are: When the essence is complete, when it is perfect, when it is greatly perfect, when it is doubled, when it is tripled, when there is strife, and when there is great strife, these are the seven. In between these, because of obscuration, they are called the seven dark eons. Also, previously in the Dense Arrayed Pure Land, it was held by Samantabhadra. Then in the Willow Palace, it was held by Vairochana. Then, after the vessel and essence of this realm were formed, when the first eon of Joyful Accumulation occurred, the teacher appeared, and these three births of the teachings descended here. After gradually disappearing there for seven times, they eventually transferred elsewhere. As it is said in the Sound Transformation Sutra: \"Thus, in this very teaching, the remaining teachings are like this, and the determination of time is said to be very great. When the essence is complete and when it is perfect, and when the perfect time is great, likewise when it is doubled and tripled, when there is strife and when there is great strife. In between each of these, in the sixty dark eons, the birth of the teachings transfers elsewhere.

As clearly indicated by various scriptures, in the northern trembling place, the monk named Glorious Protector and the benefactor king named Jinamitra, there is a light kalpa of one thousand three hundred years. Then there are sixty years of dark kalpa. Then in the southern place of saving joy, named Auspicious, the benefactor Good Accomplishment, there is a light kalpa of one hundred years. Then there are one hundred and twenty years of dark kalpa. Then in the east, it fell on the summit of Vajra-born Mountain, King Sutra Deva and the benefactor Zamze Akara held it, there are four thousand years of light kalpa, and then five thousand years of dark kalpa. Then in the west, it fell in Bhatisli, the monk named Blissful Protector, and the benefactor Hero Fear held it, there is a light kalpa of one thousand years. Then there are five thousand years of dark kalpa. Then it fell here, as stated in the *Tailgyur*: "Then again it falls here, the place called Vajrasana. This place grows and blazes with light, for five hundred and fifty years. This is held by the Wise, its benefactor is a Dakini. Having been made by the Cool and Pure, after that this world, earth, water, fire, and wind combine and agitate, it will not remain and become a great emptiness." As it says, the Wise are all those who hold this, five hundred years is called a great year, five hundred and five hundred long, as the Omniscient One said. Only this Mount Meru world, from the first kalpa to the beginning of this ten-year lifespan, the others are said to be the place of the non-mother Dakinis. In particular, the fourteen rises and falls of this Jambudvipa are as stated in the *Sound Tailgyur*: "The near cause of the destruction of the doctrine, in each of their respective places, is called a person with wrong views. Each one is a near cause of destroying all the doctrine." Thus, generally indicating the person who makes darkness, this place was first in darkness, in the western part of Jambudvipa, a king with six fingers on his hand, protruding blue front teeth, a black mole in the shape of a scorpion on the elbow of his right hand, with extreme destruction, made the Buddhist doctrine dark, lasting for sixty years. Thus, it was first in darkness, and then the first of the light was one thousand three hundred years.
