It is said, "At the age of eighty, the supreme teacher passed into nirvana." Also, some Shravakas say in the "Hundred Thousand Commentaries," "By subduing the Mara of death, he extended his life by two months." Thus, it is believed that there were two months more than that. In the Mahayana Nirvana Sutra, it says, "In this age of hundreds, at the age of eighty, the sign of passing into nirvana, but for the sake of you, Brahmin, I extended it by two years, generating diligence." Thus, it is shown as eighty-two years. Although the calculation methods are different, it is considered that the meaning of the sutras is the same. In the "Treasury of Tenets," it says, "The teacher Bhavyalila, calculating the actual years as eighty, plus the intercalary months, considers it to be eighty-two, which is very good." It is said. With such reasoning, one can discern that even the years of liberation stories appearing to those to be tamed, such as the "Padma Kathang," can establish an eye that is not contradictory. At that time, the relics were divided into eight parts. In the Vinaya Sutra, it says, "Among the eight brevo of relics of the one with five eyes, seven parts were obtained for the offerings of the people of Jambudvipa, and one brevo of that supreme being was offered by the Naga king of the city of Sound." It also says, "Among the four teeth of that supreme being, one was offered to the three roots, the heavenly realm, and the world; the second is in the delightful city of Holding Words; the third is in the land of King Kalinga; the fourth tooth of that supreme being was offered by the Naga king of the city of Sound. King Ashoka, residing in the Peacock Sanctuary, extensively built seven stupas. By the power of that, even in this earth, the objects of aspiration will be manifested. Thus, the relics of the one with eyes were greatly revered and offered by the gods, nagas, lords of men, as well as non-humans and lords of yakshas." It is like that. Those relics, together with the four brevo, became stupas in their respective places. In particular, the seven parts of Jambudvipa were urged by the son of King Ashoka, the Dharma King Ashoka, by the power of past aspirations and miraculous powers, and on the plains between Jambudvipa and the continents, stupas equal to the number of handfuls of sand were built, namely, the hundred thousand Litsa stupas.

Or, for ordinary people, it is known as a hundred thousand kotis. The history of it is that in the past, when the Teacher went to Shravasti for alms, a woman offered rice porridge. One of her children was playing among the children, and seeing the Buddha, he developed faith and grabbed a handful of sand. A boy named Moon made him bend over, stood on his back, and offered the sand. The Teacher also accepted the bowl from below. The mother scolded her son, saying that it was not right to do so. The Teacher said, "Do not oppose this child, for he has pure faith in me and will gain great merit." After saying this, he had Ananda count the sands, and it turned out to be a hundred thousand kotis. Ananda, two hundred years after my Nirvana, in a city called Flower City, there will appear a king named Ashoka, who will build a stupa with the relics of the Tathagata as its core in one night. The child who bent over will be reborn as the Yaksha Chariot and become a helper in building the stupa." Thus he prophesied. Two hundred years after the Teacher's passing, that child was reborn as King Ashoka, and after enacting new laws, some were placed in happiness, like gods; some were used for warfare and strife, like asuras; some were punished, like hell beings, and at a time when the behavior of the six realms of beings was complete, a bhikshu from Suvarnabhumi went to the king's territory. He found an ornament that the king's consort wore while bathing, which had been carried away by a crow. He took it to the market and asked who it belonged to. Someone said you stole it, and he was to be punished. The king said, "I have never killed such a bhikshu before, boil him to death in boiling butter." The ministers boiled him for three days, but he did not die, and he was as fresh as dew. The king asked who are you? He said, "I have an Arhat Khenpo, and I have also attained the stream-entry fruit, so the fire cannot burn me." The king developed faith and requested the Dharma. The king said, "If sin is created by punishment, what is the method of confession?" The bhikshu said, "I do not know the method, I need to ask my Khenpo." So he invited the Arhat, and the Arhat said, "King"
