Conditioned by ignorance, connected, Suddenly grasping the conceptual thought, Relying on this, the realm of sentient beings, Although appearing without beginning or end, Yet, what distinctions are made in it? Who proclaims this name for it? That too is emptiness without distinctions, The way in which ignorance does not exist, This statement is without reason, From the field of the Sugata-garbha, The two aspects of awareness and ignorance, The characteristic of liberating from delusion, Also in the emptiness without distinctions, Desiring to cut off extreme views, What difference is there between that and nihilistic tenets? Therefore, in the analysis of awareness, There is a door for both samsara and nirvana, Thus say the inner Buddhists. Likewise, from the Guhyagarbha Tantra: The nature of mind is the perfect Buddha, Do not seek the Buddha from elsewhere! According to the meaning of this, where is it? When all obscurations are completely removed, And qualities are manifested, One's own mind is the Buddha, Therefore, where else is there? An object with its own self-nature, A separate Buddha is not there. Who establishes before and after in this? However, the Buddha of complete maturation and purification, Who shows the manner of the three, Explaining the teachings of before and after, That is the common meaning, Not the definitive meaning. The definitive meaning of that has been explained before, So there is no need to repeat it again and again. However, in the luminosity of the dharmadhatu, In the nature of reality without bondage or liberation, Liberation is the ultimate Buddha. On the self- awareness that does not change, Without grasping at the true view, Instead, grasping at the Buddha of before and after, Thinking of it as something to be attained, There is no path to liberation for that. Why is it that in the ocean of sutras and tantras, Realizing one's own mind is the Buddha, Contradicting the teachings that are taught? This is the true and definitive scripture. Therefore, in samsara and nirvana, On the basis of non-differentiation, Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra) liberated by recognizing his own nature, And sentient beings, by their own minds, Deluded by the cause of ignorance, Like sleep and direct perception, In this, there is no duality of substance, One should know that this is the nature of reality. In the thirty-eighth question, Mind is the power of memory, thought, and intelligence, Becoming the basis for various plans, The first sentient being and Buddha, The original beginning when the three paths of samsara and nirvana were not established.

The nature of reality itself. How does the nature of the place of abode exist? In response to the question, this is what is said: In the original state of primordial beginning, where the three paths of samsara and nirvana are not established, the ground of all is considered uncreated. Moreover, from the Great Perfection, the basis for cutting through the middle of grasping at extremes, the nature of the seven blind ones, like explaining the nature of an elephant, from the classification as flawed, the basis of one's own unsurpassed system, considering it as distinct, is essence, nature, and compassion. On one basis, there are contradictory phenomena, classified into three aspects, and the situation is described as follows: Moreover, the essence is primordially pure, from the aspect of not being established as an object, the resonance of the spontaneously accomplished Great Perfection, although not transformed into faces, hands, and signs, dwells as the basis for clear manifestation, not abandoning the essence of the primordial resonance of appearance. From the aspect of compassion, the basis for the manifestation of the knowledge of wisdom is uninterrupted, dwelling as the great self, when its energy manifestly arises in the object, the aspect of the unindicated awareness, cutting through and obtaining the Dharma of liberation, if confused, it follows the object, for the sake of opening the door to impure samsara, therefore it is known as the basis of both samsara and nirvana. As it is said in the Prasangika, the initial essence, nature, and compassion exist in three forms. Moreover, the essence dwells as the body, so the rain of Dharma, enjoyment, and emanation, the state of being undivided and undifferentiated, even in what is established from the elements, body color and so on are not objects of the mind. The nature that manifests is the form of light, white, red, yellow, green, and blue, not being characterized by signs, it is accomplished as the descent of the undifferentiated knowable. From the various manifestations of compassion, there is no certainty that it must be this one, because various things appear, it is called the basis. Thus, if analyzed, it is the aspect of emptiness, explained from the door of essence, and the aspect of the clarity of its nature, explained from the door of means, in the distinction of the two contradictions, as in the first case, it is like this: In the wordless king of tantras, because I have no birth or death, the Dharma of non-cessation is completely perfect. Because I have no outer or inner, the Dharma of clarity is completely perfect. Because I have no emptiness or substance, the Dharma of appearance is completely perfect. Because I have no object of focus, the Dharma of seeing is completely perfect. Because I have no body or mind, the self-appearing Dharma is completely
