Whether it is truly established or not? If it is not established, then horses, elephants, birds, and lotus gardens on islands, as well as the bodhisattva lineages abiding on the earth and the path, are said to be born from lotuses. If it is established, then it contradicts the great bliss pure land that is free from characteristics. Thus, to answer this question: Because reality is not naturally established, the name of great bliss and purity is spoken. If you think that these are substantial, why establish them as pure lands? Island lotus gardens, horses, elephants, birds, and bodhisattva lineages abiding on the earth, merely because they exist, do you admit that their nature is substantial? Then, in a dream while asleep, various different appearances of places arise, do you also admit that they are truly established in the same way when awake? Therefore, in the face of self-appearing purity, like clear bubbles or like clouds in the sky, pure lands appear like illusions. Moreover, in the self-nature emanation realms such as Abhirati, animals such as horses, elephants, peacocks, kalavinka birds, and bees, although they appear as forms of animals, are actually not ordinary things, but bodhisattva lineages abiding on the earth, listening to the Dharma from their own principal deity, and proclaiming the sound of the Mahayana Dharma through gestures and expressions. For example, the common pure land, exemplified by Sukhavati, has inconceivable qualities and immeasurable miraculous displays, but all are enjoyed by oneself on one's own appearances. There, food, clothing, medicine, etc., arise merely through thought, and being born miraculously in lotuses, etc., the places of enjoyment are inconceivable. In the Drum Sound Sutra, it is said: In the world realm of Sukhavati, there dwells the perfect Buddha. The Tathagata Amitayus, whoever recites his name, that person will be born there. At the time of death, one will see the teacher and the Sangha. There are no women there, and no womb births. From jeweled lotuses, great miracles will arise. Food, clothing, and medicine, as well as Dharma robes, bedding, and alms bowls, within the scope of what is thought in the mind, those will appear in abundance. All the Buddhas abiding in the ten directions praise Sukhavati. Thus. Then the thirty-third question is, are meditative equipoise and post-meditation one or not one?
