The eighteen unshared qualities are, as it says in that very text: Without error or clamor, When teaching, without loss of memory, All actions preceded by wisdom, At all times, wisdom without obscuration. Thus, these eighteen are distinct, They are the unshared qualities of the Teacher. Thus, the Tathagata is without error, without clamor, without forgetfulness, without non-absorption, without different thoughts, without unintentional equanimity, without diminished desire, without diminished diligence, without diminished mindfulness, without diminished samadhi, without diminished wisdom, without diminished liberation, all actions of the body are preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, all actions of speech are preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, all actions of mind are preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, entering into the unobstructed wisdom vision of the past, entering into the unobstructed wisdom vision of the future, entering into the unobstructed wisdom vision of the present, these are the eighteen. The thirty-two marks of a great being are, as stated in the Ornament for Clear Realization: Hands and feet marked with wheels, and feet like tortoise bellies, hands and feet soft and possessing youthful skin. This body is upright in front and tall, fingers long and heels also large and straight. Ankles unseen, hairs pointing upwards, calves like those of the Eneya deer-king, hands long and beautiful. The hidden genitals are most excellent, retracted into the sheath. Skin golden in color, skin thin, hairs growing one from each pore, curling to the right. Face adorned with a white hair, upper body like a lion. The head of these arms is round, the armpits full. To this one, even unappetizing food appears most delicious. The body is like a banyan tree, the span of the arms equal to the height of the body. The crown of the head is protuberant, the tongue long and beautiful, Brahma-voice, cheeks like a lion, and teeth, extremely white and well-aligned, of equal size, the number forty complete. Eyes dark blue, eyelashes excellent. These thirty-two are the marks. Thus, these are the general explanations, but if divided, they are the distinctions of mantra, the inconceivable nature of body and wisdom, and the realms, the Dharma nature of mastery over infinite supernormal knowledge.

Now it is inconceivable, it is enough to elaborate like this. Fourth, to briefly reveal the definitive understanding of the vows that become the life force of that empowerment is: That is, the root vows of body, speech, and mind have twenty-five branches, namely five to be known, five not to be abandoned, five to be accepted, five to be practiced, and five to be cultivated, totaling twenty-five. If distinguished by categories, as stated in the Self-Arisen Tantra, the vows spoken in the Hundred Thousand Sections, briefly hold them well in mind. That is, the brief exposition is as follows: The vow of the view that realizes, the vow of continuous conduct, the vow of general practice, the vow of the common general deity, the vow of body, speech, and mind, the vow of the number of branches, and the vows of important key decisions, are brief and extensive. After explaining the inconceivable like this, here, from the absence of letters between the unsurpassed vows binding in three ways, at that time, beyond the limits of guarding, with absence and solitary scattering, it becomes its friend. Thus, in relation to self-nature, original purity, for the great vow of Trekchö, all of samsara and nirvana, all phenomena of existence, are repeated beyond happiness and suffering, acceptance and rejection. For the vow, since it is not bound by the object to be guarded and the guardian, therefore, in relation to the scattering, self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished nature, it becomes the vow of Tögal. Since the Buddha abides in self-nature, therefore, for the conceptual thoughts of conditioned appearances and arising sensations, whatever appears in appearance and awareness, knowing that its essence is not dual but self-liberated and without support, is solitary. Those too, the grasping of essence and nature are not established as two, it is primordial enlightenment, therefore it is absence, from the essence of the original abiding Dharmata, from becoming a Buddha to awakening in the non-duality of samsara and nirvana, one should learn and practice. The latter unsurpassed vow is from the ultimate of what should be learned, the view abides in the great spontaneously perfect samsara and nirvana, for the words that transcend the guarding and violation of vows, one discerns and calls it the name of a vow, for example, from the ultimate of what should be learned, it is also established on the path of non-learning for the fruit of suchness. With that kind of reasoning, merely knowing the nature of that vow does not reach the place beyond the limits of guarding, therefore, until such a nature is not manifested as it is, the root and
