There are two preliminaries: removing obstacles and accomplishing favorable conditions. The first has three parts: giving offering cakes to the white-sided benefactors who abide by their vows and entrusting them with activities; dedicating ransom cakes to the forest-dwelling spirits who obstruct virtuous deeds, and then expelling and subjugating them; and teaching how to meditate on an indestructible protective circle. The first has four parts: blessing the upper offerings in common, issuing commands, maintaining pride, and entrusting activities through offerings. The first is: In a clean vessel, offer the white-sided ones white three, sweet three, and golden drinks and turquoise made from grains. In one vessel, offer the dark-sided ones such as spirits and grudges, the practitioners, spiritual friends, and sponsors, etc., a mixed ransom offering cake, surrounded by torma, changkrad, butter lamps, rice, meat, chang, pieces of cloth, hair, nails, etc. Sprinkle with clean water. The actual blessing has two parts: visualizing oneself as the deity, and differentiating the visualization of the six mantras and six mudras. The first is: From the state of equanimity that was previously mixed and inseparable from the assembly field, on top of a lotus moon disc, from the letter hrīḥ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, ह्ரீഃ, Shame) emitting silver light, in an instant, remember and perfect Avalokiteśvara Khasarpani, whose body is tall, like the great snow mountain and the ocean, maintain pride. From emptiness, on top of a lotus moon disc. And so on, and the essence mantra oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ (ཨཱོྃ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུཾ, oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, ओँ मणि पद्मे हुं, Om Mani Padme Hum). As a symbol of the method of great compassion and wisdom emptiness, and the mind of enlightenment that is inseparable from the two, recite three times with a peaceful and gentle mind. The meaning of such a mantra is generally combined with the seed syllables of the six realms. If you distinguish in detail, purification, remembrance, and thought are inconceivable, but in this school, oṃ (ཨཱོྃ, oṃ, ओँ, Om) is the mind and the nature of reality free from elaboration, ma (མ་, ma, मा, Ma) is the mind and the nature of reality self-arisen, ṇi (ཎི་, ṇi, णि, Ni) is the mind and the nature of reality self-luminous, pad (པད་, pad, पद्, Pad) is the mind and the nature of reality clear and pure, me (མེ་, me, मे, Me) is the mind and the nature of reality empty and luminous, hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ, hūṃ, हुँ, Hum) is the mind and the nature of reality primordially pure, as the emanation king Songtsen Gampo explained. The second has six sets of five, the first is: Establishing the mudra, reciting the mantra, generating the deity, the seed syllable, the benefit of the blessing. Among them, establishing the mudra.ྱ is a symbol representing the emptiness of Dharmata. Join the palms with the inside empty. The mantra to be recited is: ཨཱོྃ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཿ སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་བི་ཤུདྡྷོ་྅ཧཾ། (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning). This mantra is the special essence that destroys objects with characteristics, therefore it is widely known, so explain the meaning of the mantra: First, ཨཱོྃ་ indicates the guidance of the five wisdoms. In the ancient translations, ཨཱོྃ་ must also have འ added, although some grammars prohibit adding འ, it is generally considered unnecessary, which is not established. Because all the mantras of the ancient translations cannot be without it, there is a reason. It symbolizes the five wisdoms and the five bodies: ཨ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Dharmadhatu wisdom, the deity is Vairochana; འ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Mirror-like wisdom, the deity is Vajrasattva; ན་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Equality wisdom, the deity is Ratnasambhava; ཟླ་ཚེས་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Discriminating wisdom, the deity is Amitabha; ཐིག་ལེ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Accomplishing wisdom, the deity is Amoghasiddhi. ཨཱོྃ། Therefore, this letter naturally contains the five Buddha families. As it is said in the tantra: ཨ་ is the unmoving Vairochana, ན་ is Ratnasambhava, ཟླ་ཚེས་ is Amitabha, ཐིག་ལེ་ is Amoghasiddhi. This is considered the letter of symbolic meaning. Although some translators have taken a one-sided view on this, causing great controversy, it is like the blind men touching the elephant, which is laughable. Even in the case of academic works on symbolic letters, the usage of འ can be explained from "The Source of Dharma," and there is no contradiction. Generally, according to the view of Lama Rongzompa in the explanation of illusion, ཨོཾ is composed of the three letters ཨ་, ཨུ་, and མ་, therefore ཨོཾ is also considered the seed syllable of the three vajras. སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ is nature, ཤུད་དྷོ་ is pure, སརྦ་དྷརྨ་ is all dharmas. སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་བི་ཤུད་དྷོ་྅ཧཾཿ means that nature is completely pure. The word ཨ་ཧཾ་ means "I," representing pride. In short, all dharmas contained by the duality of samsara and nirvana are completely pure in nature. Therefore, the one who distinguishes between purity and impurity is also one's own mind, and I have realized that state where its essence cannot be determined. This is letting go of pride. This mantra is so pure as it arises.
