are also included within it. In particular, for the Paramita Vehicle, it is said that one needs to accumulate merit for three countless eons. This is explained in the texts on numerical expressions and logic, where "countless" is ultimately the final number. It is said that accumulating merit for three countless eons can be accomplished in an instant if one grasps these special key points. The Omniscient Dharma King (Tsongkhapa) said, "If the mind is strong, one can accumulate merit for many eons in each instant." Therefore, it is not necessary to accumulate merit for three countless eons in that way. For Secret Mantra, it is directed towards those with extremely sharp faculties. By continuously training to accumulate immeasurable merit with great mental strength in each instant, it is possible to attain liberation in one lifetime. As it is said. In the "Lamp for the Three Modes," it says, "Having many methods without difficulty, and being directed towards those with sharp faculties, the Mantra Vehicle is therefore superior." As it is said. If one does not understand such key points, but instead elaborates only on empty words, and even just superficially reads the words, yet binds oneself with intricate theories, these ignorant people vehemently compete with the activities of the holy ones and speak nonsense, which is pitiable! Fourth, regarding taking vows and commitments, there are two parts: how to take them, and how to conclude by obtaining accomplishments through the gathering and activities. The first part has four aspects: the vows of individual liberation (Pratimoksha), the training of a Bodhisattva, the Samaya of Vidyadharas, and through these, dissolving everything into the expanse of the Great Perfection that transcends the mind, making it free from protection and boundaries. First, from now on, regarding the general sins and downfalls accumulated from beginningless lifetimes, and in particular, the seven types of Pratimoksha vows, which are the two of Bhikshu and Bhikshuni, the two of Shramanera and Shramanerika, and the Shikshamana, these are the five of the ordained Sangha; and the two of Upasaka and Upasika, these are the vows of the lay practitioners, making a total of seven categories. In short, regarding the vows and so on, one should protect all that is to be protected through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, without violating even a hair's breadth. If there have been violations in the past, one should also maintain one's respective vows, such as the Pratimoksha, with strong confession and vows, observing the Posadha according to the seasons, and possessing the three recognitions.

Listening to and confessing downfalls, blessings, and general confessions, etc., of the sacred Vinaya teachings, and with the strong intention of relying on the special antidotes of abandonment as explained in the Extensive Commentary, in the future, I will make up for all deficiencies and uphold all vows. Some say that the Pratimoksha vows are like broken pottery and cannot be restored with antidotes, so it is just wishful talk. Although that is true, if one relies on the special antidote of regret and restraint, which is better than doing evil, then one can exhaust the obscurations of compounded phenomena. Secondly, in order to purify all afflictive and cognitive obscurations, one takes the vows of a Bodhisattva and, on top of the six perfections or the six such as generosity, one adds the four perfections of skillful means, strength, aspiration, and wisdom, making ten. One practices the ten without distraction, and on the five paths, one mainly practices the accumulation of hearing, thinking, and merit, which is the path of accumulation. One applies non-conceptual wisdom to the path of seeing, which is the path of preparation. One directly sees the nature of reality, which is the path of seeing. Having seen, one meditates, which is the path of meditation. Having reached the ultimate of what is to be learned, there is nothing to meditate on, which is called the path of no more learning. And, with the strong desire to purify the ten bhumis, one constantly travels the paths and bhumis of the Paramitas in order to purify the two obscurations. Thirdly, regarding the mantra vows, although they are limitless, in brief, the root is included in the vows of body, speech, and mind. Among them, seeing forms as deities is the vow of body, taking sounds as mantras is the vow of speech, and the continuity of awareness is uninterrupted, whatever arises is self-liberated, and the confidence of grasping the equality of samsara and nirvana is the vow of mind. With such a mind of expanding all appearances and sounds of samadhi as the play of the three mandalas, self and other, appearance and emptiness, forms are the assembly of wisdom deities. What is said, memory and thought, appearance and existence. Now, we must seek the meaning and explanation of the fourth point or the last verse. From the beginning, it is free from the four or eight extremes of inherent nature's elaboration, and realizing the unmade, spontaneously accomplished state of being, the original purity, as it is, vast and expansive. Without artificially modifying it with sudden thoughts, it abides in the expanse of awareness itself, which transcends liberation and bondage, beyond the realm of thought, speech, and intellect.
