Represented by the eye, the sound of the hand drum symbolizes profound emptiness, sound-emptiness without arising. Great bliss is symbolized by the skull, etc., and its sound symbolizes ultimate emptiness. The combination of these two without separation symbolizes the wisdom of non-duality of bliss and emptiness. As stated in the tantra: "The vajra of method is the hand drum itself." And "The sound of the wisdom damaru." Thus, with such mindfulness, hold the waist of the damaru where the netting intersects with the thumb and forefinger, gently pressing down with the thumb and forefinger, and striking the drum surface with a trembling motion of the fingers. When striking, combine it with the name of whatever field-protecting dakini, etc., you wish to summon, as stated in the khrem hum bi to tantra: "Saying khrem hum, strike and summon. The sound of the small drum is recitation. It is held for the sake of inviting and calling." These respective views of the new and old tantras are not mixed, and are written in the form of annotations for the sake of easy study. Think of emitting the sound of om. For example, taking tsa muntri a karsha ya mi khrem hum, etc., as examples, combine them in an appropriate way and also recite them in the mouth. The mindfulness mentioned above is for special needs, otherwise, it is just the mindfulness of generating the wisdom of non-duality of bliss and emptiness mentioned earlier. Third, the necessity is: by playing it with the mindfulness of that very nature, the great seal of the wisdom of non-duality of bliss and emptiness appears as the form of sound, in order to please the lama and the mandala deities, and from that, quickly bestow blessings and attainments, and all the field-protecting deities of the dwelling places of heroes and yoginis, etc., are stirred by that sound, quickly gather and bless, and are controlled by me. Symbolically, the dakas and dharma protectors are also stirred by that sound and quickly accomplish activities. As stated in the tantra: "Everything will be summoned. If they do not come, then all the dakinis will die. It will definitely be accomplished. There is no doubt in what I have said." Therefore, vow

The yogi who abides in vows and commitments, with firm divine pride, remembering the Suchness mentioned above, if one plays a ḍamaru that possesses all the characteristics, it is said that there is such a special need. Among them, the so-called secret small drum is made by cutting the connection between the two hips of a woman's thighs and the joint bones and smoothing them, covering them with the skin of the bhaga, and using a male vajra as a beater, which is called the secret small drum of the ḍākinīs. It is also said that starting from the slender waist of the thigh of a killed man, cutting a length of twelve finger-widths to make it playable is called the flute of a large conch shell, which is mentioned incidentally. Fourth, the method of abiding and holding the vajra bell, ḍamaru, etc., is as follows: In detail, the tantras say that one should meditate on the abisamaya that corresponds to the reality of each vajra bell, etc., but here, as it comes from the original language of this treasure, the essence is summarized and practiced as follows: Place the vajra bell on a stand in front of you, and purify it with Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Literal Chinese meaning: self-nature). From emptiness, generate the wisdom vajra arising from 吽 (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) as the nature of skillful means. May rays of light radiate to all to ripen all sentient beings. Thinking in this way as the nature of Vajrasattva, shake it three times with the right hand. The bell becomes invisible, transformed into emptiness. From emptiness, generate the nature of dharmadhatu arising from आः (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) as the form of the wisdom bell. May the Dharma sound continuously to awaken sentient beings. Thinking in this way as the nature of Vajravarahi, ring it three times with mindfulness of purity. Then, cross the vajra bell as skillful means and wisdom at the heart, and from the secret space of the union of the two consorts, the residue of the great bliss wisdom in their hearts, in particular, the nature of bodhicitta, may the five rays of light radiate to all, offering to the noble ones. Think that all sentient beings are ripened. Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) union of skillful means and wisdom, symbolizing dharmata. In order to awaken beings of the past, in order to ripen beings. Shake the vajra and ring the bell. Recite 嗡 班匝 冈哲 吽 阿 (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་གནྜེ་ཧཱུྃ་ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ वज्र घण्टे हुं आः, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra ghaṇṭe hūṃ āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Vajra Ghanta Hum Ah), and shake the vajra and ring the bell simultaneously. In this way, the consecrated vajra bell, the vajra is tied to the waist and placed at the heart.
