If it is too long, it delays the deity and distracts from the practice; if it is too short, it harms life. If it has splices or knots, and if it is uneven in thickness, misfortune will occur. One should understand these distinctions clearly. As it is said, one can understand clearly. However, regarding the types of threads, apart from the five colors, the number of threads and the qualifications of the weaver are not clearly stated. However, the previous lamas considered that, as an auspicious connection for increasing the bliss of non-leakage, it should be woven by a qualified consort who is not tainted by worldly dharmas. The reason for this is that the Vajra Dakini Tantra says: "Woven by a young woman, who is beautiful in form, complete in body, pure and mindful, and speaks sweetly. The rosary woven by her will give rise to the accomplishment of liberation." It is evident that this is the intention. Regarding the number of threads, the Sambhuti Tantra says: "In the four directions and four intermediate directions, there are eight. The ninth in the center is the Buddha himself. There are nine deities in the thread. Bless these nine deities." According to this, in this case, the central thread should be visualized as Padma Vajra Power, and the eight threads in the four directions and four intermediate directions should be visualized as the eight wrathful deities, such as Buddha Skull Garland. Making nine threads in this way is very appropriate. Some say that it is not appropriate to cover the New Tantras. This is very reasonable, because these substances for upholding vows, which are commonly known in both the New and Old Tantras, have slight differences in their explanations, but there is no contradiction. Moreover, the wise and accomplished ones who understand the key points of the Dharma and do not lean towards any side do not regard each other's heat and cold like water and fire. However, mixing rituals and sadhanas is due to the mind being intoxicated by the eight worldly dharmas. Mixing Sanskrit and Tibetan "ཨཱུདྡྷ་དྷ་" is not the intention. Fourth, the method of weaving. The Sambhuti Tantra says: "With the seed syllables of vowels and consonants, weave the thread with 'Hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽)." As it is said, one should visualize the rosary as the main deity of the yidam, and the rosary as being surrounded by the mandala of the retinue, and weave it while chanting "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). Fifth, the handling of the thread ends. This tantra says: "The thread ends of the rosary should be made as follows: the peaceful rosary should be white, round, and curled; the increasing rosary should be yellow, with a Chinese knot; or made in the shape of a stupa; the subjugating rosary should be a red flower; the shape should be flat and

Lagam and, even Narma are auspicious. The fierce black division, the shape is triangular with nail-like patterns, with angular holes densely arranged, in short, rough and sharp. On the rosary of various actions, the head of the rosary represents body, speech, and mind, adorned with white, red, and blue colors. Thus, one should examine with appropriate wisdom. It is said that the head of the rosary should be made according to each individual's needs. Generally, as it is said to represent the three vajras, it is made in three layers. The upper layer represents the mind, the unchanging wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, hence the color is blue. The middle layer represents the speech vajra, hence the color is red. The lower layer represents the body vajra, hence the color is white. Moreover, if combined with Suchness, the upper layer is the essence of Dharmakaya, emptiness; the middle layer is the self-nature, luminous Sambhogakaya; the lower layer is the compassion, all-pervading Nirmanakaya, which is the symbol of the inseparable three bodies. In the New Tantras, to represent the two purities, the head of the rosary should be made in two layers. The Sambuti Tantra says: For the sake of the stupa, the lord of Dharma, above is also the Dharmadhatu. In its commentary, it says: The lower part represents wisdom, and the upper part represents Dharmadhatu. Or the lower part represents the Rupakaya, and the upper part represents the Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. Fifth, to bless it, it says here: At the beginning of counting the rosary, perform bathing, purification, blessing, and consecration. Also, the Manjushri Root Tantra says: All rivers are stainless, bathe with pure water, after taking the rosary, wash it thoroughly with the five kinds of milk, anoint it with fragrant substances, diligently recite mantras, approach it, and then begin recitation. In the commentary on the meaning of what is said, Rigdzin Chokyi Drakpa says: First, wash your hands and feet with pure water, then wash the rosary with the five kinds of milk as mentioned, and anoint it with fragrant scents. After doing this, it says here: With the pride of oneself as the deity, place the rosary in the left hand, with the head of the rosary facing upwards, purify it into emptiness with the Svabhava (Tibetan: སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वभाव, Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Chinese literal meaning: self-nature) mantra, from emptiness, this rosary, with the head of the rosary as the main deity, the rosary surrounding the retinue, invite the wisdom deity, hook and merge. As it is said directly, for the sake of those who are beginners, thus it is explained.
