The main thing is that when visualizing, one practices emptiness, but when practicing, one puts the blame on visualization. What kind of statement is this? If visualization has room to play a role, then when offering, one should regard the actual items displayed as merely the basis for visualization, and then transform all appearances and existences into the nature of torma and offer them. Can this be done? Now, when arranging the display, one must pay attention to the various methods mentioned in the scriptures. Because it says, "Thus, the image of the torma and, all the decorations and arrangements, are the differences of secret mantra methods, in order to guide beings, pray without interruption." Fourth, regarding the arrangement, the scriptures say, "Third, there are nine kinds of arrangement methods, practice and great practice, the time of recitation and the time of combining activities, the time of empowerment and holding a feast, unexpected emergencies, road offerings for traveling abroad, and momentary arrangements, arrangements without certainty." Although nine categories are mentioned, the main content appears in their respective scriptures, so I will not elaborate here. Therefore, to put it simply, for common recitations and the like, because all the deities and mandalas are oneself, if the respective scriptures mention special supports for practice, then one should do it according to that method. The main part of the torma can simply be arranged in front in a piled-up manner. The scriptures say, "During recitation, the torma is like a rosary, arrange them in a string without disturbing the order." As it is said, if the three roots are all present, then in the center is the guru torma, to its right are the yidam and nectar, to the left are the dakini and blood, and in front are the Dharma protectors, generally placing male deities on the right and female deities on the left, carefully distinguishing the differences in size and height to arrange them. This is also considering the initial practitioners. The great vidyadhara said that in general, no matter what kind of self-generation ritual is performed, because the deity and mandala are oneself, it is sufficient to offer the torma in front of oneself or in a suitable place. For all types that require front generation, such as mandala rituals, all that can be obtained, such as torma offerings and eye offerings, must be piled up in front generation. In such cases, one must know the difference in meaning. If everything is arranged in front, then it is considered a mandala.

"Do not think!" This saying is the general key point, which is very important. Also, if it is not a combination of recitation and practice, it is said that in the center of the mandala, offerings are arranged on top of the Manjushri and others. This is because when practicing, the offerings must be visualized as the deity, so in the gap between recitation and practice, there is no transferring, taking, changing, etc. For convenience, they are arranged in this way from the beginning, and distinguished by special visualization. When great practices and completion confessions are related to mandalas with characteristics, it is said that they are arranged in piles in each direction of the mandala. The scripture says: "At the time of great practice, in each direction of the great mandala, arrange in piles." This is like what was said earlier in the context of medicine and alcohol, indicating that the number of offerings is equal to the number of deities, referring to situations where there are many. Because in the nectar offering cloud of this scripture itself, it says: "The arrangement of medicine, alcohol, and torma, if the torma and nectar are equal to the number of deities, then arrange each torma and each nectar alternately, arrange in piles, in front of the blood." Like this, place the torma on the right and the nectar on the left, arrange them so that they do not touch each other, and then place the blood in front of them, making three piles. Similarly, the one hundred and eight medicine, alcohol, and torma of the completion confession are also arranged in this way. In front of these, on the platform, place the inner offerings, which are the flowers of the five meats, the incense of great incense, the lamp of great grease, the perfume mixed with bile, and the food of great meat, or some say it is the food of the great vajra incense, and it also appears to be the offering water of perfume. This scripture says it is a choice, so there is no difference. These are unprocessed, naturally accomplished offerings, which are the nature of the five meats and five nectars, and are made through the combination of causes and conditions. Making and arranging, the arrangement method, etc., are done satisfactorily, which is a wonderful offering, or a transformation of conditions. This is what is said in the small booklet of the red guidance for the actual practice of offerings in this scripture. In front of it, arrange the common outer offerings such as offering water and flowers, which have been distinguished before, and do not mix them with the inner offerings.
