There is also no knowledge. It is believed that the knowledge that realizes the non-duality of grasping and being grasped, the self-knowing and self-illuminating awareness, is true. This is the alaya-vijñana, and on this basis, karma and its effects are accepted. That is bound by antidotes and unable to be free from the four extremes of elaboration. However, this is like the common practitioners of today who take "everything is mind" as an object of attachment and want to use it as meditation, which is only the blindness of those who have not attained the ultimate. For the masters who have realized the meaning lineage and are known throughout Tibet and China, this is not even a slight manifestation of their intention. Therefore, saying that the view of Dzogchen is Cittamatra, and slandering the ordinary consciousness that is commonly known in Mahamudra and Dzogchen, is only because the bile of partiality has taken away the radiance of guidance, causing the color of the conch shell to appear yellow, and there is no cognition whatsoever other than that. Secondly, regarding the definitive meaning of the Great Madhyamaka, there are two: Svatantrika and Prasangika. The first is to distinguish between correct conventional truth and incorrect conventional truth, and therefore it has not removed the stains of dualistic dharma. The second is the Madhyamaka Prasangika, who say: "Because I have no commitment, I am faultless." Thus, it is proclaimed that all dharmas are without inherent existence, and that objects are not established from their own side, nor are they established by their own characteristics, nor are they established as the nature of anything. As it is said in the homage of the Root Verses on the Middle Way: "Because of dependent arising, there is no cessation and no arising, no discontinuity and no permanence, no coming and no going, no difference and no oneness." Thus, it is determined to be free from the eight extremes of elaboration. When our teacher showed the manner of attaining enlightenment, he also said: "Profound, peaceful, free from elaboration, luminous, uncompounded dharma." And so on, this is the meaning of the verses. In our own system, the Omniscient Great One also said: "The basis of the view is the same as the Prasangika." Therefore, if one turns inward and meditates, it is not merely the scope of understanding the oral transmission, but the pure and stainless awareness, which from the beginning abides in the reality free from elaboration, and because of that, the views of the three great ones are established, just as a hundred rivers converge under one bridge, and here the intention is the same. However, due to the lack of the wealth of hearing and thinking, the essence of the tenets has not been understood.

Some people, based on their experience in Śamatha (calm abiding) practice, claim in Dharma language that there is no choice but to accept the view of the three great systems. They treat the esoteric instructions on special secrets as if they were like the numerical calculations of Nāgārjuna's Dharma in the world, lacking any specific instructions. This is turning one's back on the teachings of the Vajra Essence. Why is that? Because all views are established within the state of being free from the eight extremes of elaboration, and it is agreed that there is no view superior to the state of non-elaboration in the depths of understanding. However, there is a great difference between the Sūtra and Tantra approaches to understanding the meaning of non-elaboration. For example, in the Pāramitā vehicle, the extremes of existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, are determined solely through knowable objects, and the emptiness that abides in the Madhyamaka is also distinguished into separate categories of Śamatha's stabilizing meditation and Vipaśyanā's analytical meditation. By traversing the bhūmis and paths for a long time through the three aspects of abandoning conceptualization, transforming afflictions into the path, it is regarded as the analytical meditation of a Paṇḍita, a kind of emptiness that looks outward. On the other hand, the Mantrayāna practitioners mainly emphasize the union of the two stages. The essence of the view is that the key to the swift path lies in the naturally abiding state of reality, which is free from elaboration and spontaneously accomplished. Without altering it through conceptual fabrication or intellectual constructs, one should focus on the Kuśāli's stabilizing meditation. So, wouldn't that imply that there is no difference between Mahāmudrā and Dzogchen? Although some people admit this, it is merely a sign of confusion. Therefore, the great omniscient Fifth Dalai Lama, the one eye of the world, said: "Those who have studied the key points of the Kāmā and Terma of Garab Dorje, Śrī Siṃha, Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, Vairocana, Sosur, Nup, Nyang, etc., but are arrogant and inferior, have many Dharma terms that mix and confuse Mahāmudrā and Dzogchen without distinguishing them." Therefore, to differentiate them roughly, the Mahāmudrā practitioner is more knowledgeable in expanding the dharmas with dharmatā (suchness) and transforming appearance and awareness into the luminosity of indivisible clarity and emptiness. The Dzogchen practitioner, on the other hand, sees all dharmas as the play of illusory appearances of dharmatā bodhicitta, but from the perspective of emptiness, the nature is free from the extremes of elaboration. It is distinguished by the fact that it is complete from the beginning in the realm beyond fabricated dharmas and mind, in the state of primordial purity, so that delusion is purified from the very beginning, without altering it. As for the ordinary Tibetan scholars who engage in listening, thinking, and contemplation...
