When explaining the characteristics of the bell, it produces a beautiful sound from the staff, the inside is empty and it has a vase-like shape. It has symbols such as the vajra, jewel, lotus, and sword. Decorated with a net and a half-net. Originating from the makara, the five wisdoms are completely pure, therefore it has five tips. There are two girdles, in the center of which are two strings of wheels. The lotus has two lotus strings, the jewel has a jewel. Similarly, it should have girdles. It is called "Amoghasiddhi," the center of the two girdles is decorated with a sword. Everything has a face of wisdom, therefore it becomes the victor of all heroes. As it is said very clearly, all characteristics are the same as before, except that the tip should be made into five. In the center of the two girdles, strings of emblems matching their respective families should be made, which is easy to understand. Whatever those families are, the inner tongue or staff should be made into an octagonal shape. As it is said in the Vajraḍākinī: "The wisdom staff in the center should be made into a beautiful octagon." As it is said, its material should be pure iron, with moderate thickness, and the tip of the octagon should be made slightly protruding. Fourth, there are two kinds of pure recollection of the bell: External explanation and internal explanation. The first is: the face of the wisdom mother Vajra Māmakī and the seed syllables of the eight goddesses arranged on the eight petals of the lotus, etc., visualizing oneself as the sixth family Vajrasattva or Vajradhara's conceited yogi, and visualizing Vairocana etc. as yogis abiding in the conceit of their respective families, by visualizing Vajra Māmakī or Vajradhātvīśvarī etc., the respective goddesses, symbolizing the karma mudrā mothers of the respective families. The innermost end of the bell symbolizes the dharma origin of those mudrās, and the inner tongue symbolizes the crow face or face or ḍākinī face residing in the center of the root lotus of Vajradhātvīśvarī, the eight hidden channels in the center of the octagonal dhūti symbolize it. Above appears the face of wisdom, because Vajra Māmakī is the chief of all the deities of the bell, therefore the vajra is called skillful means and the bell is called wisdom. The two, bliss and emptiness, mutually expand
