It should be known that the Dharma is inconceivable. Briefly, to become enlightened with a nihilistic view, because debating about the unknowable only leads to accumulation and nothing more, one should turn inward and strive to extract the essence. Ninth, the branch of dedication has two parts: distinguishing the difference between dedication and aspiration, and briefly describing the form of dedication. First, although the commentary on the "Bodhicaryāvatāra," the treatise of Dignāga, has not been found, in some Tibetan commentaries, most scholars believe that aspirations have general and specific distinctions. Aspiration requires a basis of virtuous actions, but this is not universal. Dedication, on the other hand, requires a basis of virtuous actions for dedication. Although this is said, it still needs to be examined. It is difficult to establish as if unpredicted, and through intellectual observation, for example, relying on the virtue of King giving his body through the power of compassion to make aspirations, this shows that it is not necessary to have virtuous actions as a basis, although it is not universal, it is usually not said in this way, so it is placed in a secondary position. Similarly, for dedication alone, it is also said that the accumulation of merit of the three times can be used as the basis for dedication. In reality, because the field, intention, and object are pure as the basis, the self-tradition acknowledges the previous statement. In the self-language of this treasure Dharma, it says: "Thus, with the field, object, and intention complete, the accumulated collections are the virtues to be dedicated." The omniscient Dharma King said: "Dedication is when virtuous actions precede and words and aspirations are combined; aspiration is when there is no basis of virtuous actions." Thus it is. The second part has four points: the virtuous roots to be dedicated, the field of dedication, the master of dedication, and the manner of dedication. The first point is divided into two: what can be dedicated and what cannot be dedicated. The first is, in the dedication text of this treasure Dharma, "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel," it says: "Pure objects, with pure intention, generate faith in the superiors, generate compassion for the inferiors, and commonly arise with the mind of enlightenment." Therefore, pure objects refer to those that are not defiled by the faults of not being obtained, which will be explained below, and pure intention refers to that which is not defiled by the stains of deception and fame. The second is, in the sutra, it says: "Stolen objects"

Precious objects, not harming others, extremely cherished and delightful items, can be offered and given as charity when needed. It is said, sinful and poisonous substances, as well as improperly acquired wealth, weapons, and the like, should not be mixed. With the four kinds of giving, and various favorable conditions, support the poor and incapable. As it is said, in short, forcibly seizing or stealing from others, killing sentient beings for the sake of virtue, or harming them by drawing blood, and so on, are examples of improperly acquired wealth that should not be dedicated. Secondly, there are three kinds of fields for dedication: the way it is explained in the Sutras, the way it is explained in the Mantras, and the way it is explained in common. Firstly, from the Ornament of the Sutras: Because all dharmas are treasures, the door of variety is the revealer, Sangha is called the activity, everything is given to the Sangha. As it is said, the Sangha itself, endowed with the three trainings, is considered the main object of the field of accumulation. Secondly, from the Glorious Guhyasamaja: At the beginning of all offerings, having abandoned all offerings, one should make the Guru offering, from his pleasure, the accomplishment, the all-knowing holy one will be obtained. Thus, for the secret mantra practitioner, there is no field of accumulation more excellent than the Guru himself, this has been said to be exceedingly much. Thirdly, as it is said: There is no teacher like the Buddha, there is no protector like the Dharma, there is no field like the Sangha, therefore offer to the Three Jewels. Thus, in common, there is no field more excellent than the Three Jewels. Moreover, in general, those of the lower vehicle and ordinary beings, etc., for the pure field, with abundant material wealth, strive only for respect and service, and those who do not have wealth, strive to please the Buddhas with the mind-created Samantabhadra offering. It is said that just as planting good seeds in a good field will increase the fruit, so will merit increase even more. However, Mahayana practitioners should cherish lower beings and take only the benefit of others as their main concern. As the scripture says: For those who have no hope or friends, the sick and the incapable, the old and frail with weakened senses, the poor, hungry, and
