There are still many unfinished tasks. If tonight is interrupted by impermanent death, will the provisions prepared to benefit the world have been accumulated and completed, friend? When dying like this, the accumulated wealth and gathered relatives and friends cannot bring praise. What more is needed? This is an obvious fact, friend. After death, where will one be reborn? One cannot decide for oneself, being dragged by the wind of karma, completely controlled by others. If one is reborn in the lower realms, what can be done? Do you have the confidence not to fall into the lower realms, friend? Even the hard work that cannot be completed despite strenuous efforts, attachment to this life is like a rope that will soon break. In this short life of the degenerate age, if one can accomplish the established goals, one can be called clever, friend. The passing of years and months obscures the scenery of this life, and meaningless affairs exhaust the illusory body. What is done is like a line drawn on water, leaving no trace. If you understand these, you can be called wise, friend. Alas! Now, this remaining life, seized by the claws of the impermanent Yama, if wasted by various distractions and trivialities, it will be too late to regret after death, friend. Therefore, the inconceivable key instructions that can benefit you, in this moment when words are frightening, the profound essential points that condense the essence of the meaning, is this pure white unique Dharma, friend. That is, instantly visualize on the crown of your head, meditating in the form of Secret Lord (Tibetan: གསང་བདག་,Sanskrit Devanagari: गुह्यपति,Sanskrit Romanization: guhyapati,Literal meaning: Lord of Secrets) Hevajra, praying to generate the wisdom of realization, receiving the four empowerments, and inviting the Guru into your heart. Without distraction, gaze intently at the Guru, pacifying bad thoughts, indulgence, and turbulent thoughts, and rest in a state of bliss, clarity, and non-thought. Afterwards, rays of light radiate from the Guru's body, purifying the two obscurations of oneself and others, and finally dissolving all phenomena of the container and its contents, as clear and transparent as crystal, into the clear light, abiding in an unspeakable, inconceivable state. Relax your body and mind, and whatever experiences of pleasure or pain arise, directly observe their nature. Observing in this way, nothing is seen, yet the appearances clearly manifest, which is the essence of Vipassanā. Thus, when various thoughts arise, there is no other meditation than recognizing their nature. Starting from no meditation, maintaining non-distraction is extremely important. In terms of practice, first divide the time into sessions for meditation, interspersing them with daily activities, and especially when any adverse circumstances arise, transform them into aids for practice. Whether it is happiness, pain, sickness, fear,

Even if (deluded thoughts) arise, By looking at their essence as if piercing it with a spear, Clear emptiness appears nakedly, its radiance undiminished. Maintaining clarity with unwavering attention is samadhi, Whatever arises, cultivating it like dreams and illusions, Although one wishes to practice in the post-meditation period, in the initial stage, Thoughts and the one who observes them, Seem to arise separately; gradually meditate, By grasping the self-nature of non-dual wisdom, Without dwelling, moving, or choosing, the great meditator, Dissolves delusion, self-liberates, and gains firm ground. To understand this meaning, upon that very view, Abiding equally, with the essence of meditation, Although one may distinguish between the terms holding and acting, Always cherish accumulating faith and purification like the head. Renunciation is the foot, and love and compassion, Like limbs, are indispensable. Thus, when all phenomena are realized as magical displays of the mind, Where will one experience the suffering of the lower realms? The stages of the path, warmth signs, and signs of realization are perfected in awareness, Primordial luminosity, when mother and child Meet, When the illusory body disintegrates, from where will habitual sensations come? Even if all the essential points of sutras, tantras, and instructions are revealed, There is nothing more essential than this, Hold these words in your mind, engrave this meaning in your heart. Experience, experience, realization blazes from within. Thus, this is advice that heals the mind, And the way to cultivate samadhi related to it. This instruction is not to be measured by the discriminating mind Of those who cling to terms, seeking the edge of the sky. If you wish to practice the yoga of true meaning, Always be diligent with these words. May the excellent merit and great light of this moment, Through the yogis who increase pure accomplishment, Pervade the ocean-covered realms, And be dedicated to the flourishing of the essence of definitive meaning. However, I, the speaker, am unskilled and my words are clumsy, There may be inverted phrases, But this is composed according to the lineage instructions, without contradiction, Therefore, this is a work dedicated to the essential meaning. Except for those who share my view and conduct, Even if others see me speak the truth, It is like a jaundiced person seeing a white conch as yellow, Like someone with cataracts seeing falling hairs, Like someone with lung disease consuming camphor, Therefore, cherish it like a jewel from the ocean. This was spoken in the cool shade of the Zhol-khang family estate in 'Phyong-rgyas (1508-1566), in a fragrant garden, as the voice of the lonely friend 'dzin mong reached my ears.
