In the aspect of the conditioned, the eight consciousnesses with objects accumulate to form the pit of diligence in samsara, which is called an ordinary being. One who is lost in the nature of reality is a noble being. The Indian master Nagarjuna is undisputed, so everyone calls him the master noble being. But in Tibet, even those who have not grasped the essentials of the school are called holy beings and Buddhas, which is very strange. Now, if we analyze carefully, for a person who is different from ordinary consciousness, samsara and nirvana are like the front and back of the hand, with only the difference between being awake and not awake. However, now, due to the mixing of wind and mind, the Buddha's abandonment and realization are invisible, so it is called seeing the nature of the Tathagatagarbha. The view and practice of holding appearances and mind as one's own mindstream, no matter how good, its aspect of awareness is also a conditioned phenomenon together with the eight consciousnesses, so it cannot be regarded as the nature of transcendence of suffering. It is in harmony with the mindfulness and proximity of the path of accumulation. If a meditator arises with this much understanding and experience, then saying lost or not lost is also a statement of abiding in the state of the essence with a target, so do not let a slave-like distraction mix into the limb of great enlightenment—recollection beyond thought. In order not to confuse it with something invisible like an unpredicted obstacle, meditation in the nine successive abidings has been well explained on the chariot of the omniscient nature, so analyze it with the wisdom of thought, especially when focusing on the abiding meditation of Kusu, the way to be liberated by relying solely on the devotion to the guru. Ananda, the true ultimate is to be realized through faith. Therefore, strive to generate devotion to the guru who has seen the profound emptiness, and the method of heart-mind connection. And, to help it, generate great compassion for sentient beings, and be proud of entering into such behavior, so that you can complete the accumulation of merit and purify obscurations. Connect through this devotion, and when the guru's realization is transferred to the student, may you realize this true ultimate heart-mind connection. This was said by the Vidyadhara Jigme Lingpa. Homage to the Buddha. Having entered the monastic community, if one only seeks food and clothing, then even the best wishes and precepts will not accomplish the benefit of the next life.

Thus accomplished. As it is now, with renunciation and aversion, urge your own continuum, contemplating the difficulty of finding leisure and fortune. If you constantly remember impermanence and the uncertainty of death, then diligence in the Dharma will arise like a shadow. Abandon the trivial matters of young monks busy sewing robes, and cultivate virtue alone in a solitary place. Do not, with the thought that "this is a unique tradition that others do not have," create contaminated pride between the Dharma and your own mind, nor with the desire for fame and gain from rituals and chanting. It is difficult to practice the paths and grounds in this way, so protect the true nature. However, this protection of the true nature is not a rigid view of emptiness, nor is it being deluded by nominal words and unable to realize it. With devotion to the Guru, drawn like an iron hook, do not be separated from the nectar of the remembrance of the perfectly established reality. If you can practice in this way on the path, compassion and devotion will naturally arise, and with aversion, the signs and qualities of the path will appear in your mind. Thus, from the distant Gyangtse Compassionate Dharma Banner, a person named Good Fortune, who possesses faith and respect, at your urging, from the realm of Lotus Light, Longchen Illusionary Yogi wrote this. Homage to the Buddha! Although possessing the prophecy of youthful power, it is rare to perfect the qualities of eight freedoms and ten endowments. Therefore, compared to worldly activities adorned with the three wheels, entering the Victorious One's teachings is a greater merit. In the age of a new sprout, if you do not diligently practice the ten Dharma practices such as writing, reading, reciting, and memorizing, then when youth has passed, even if you regret it, it will be of no avail. Guard the precepts of abstaining from evil deeds as if fearing them, and the activities of hearing, thinking, and meditating will decline. If you are too attached to alcohol, the root of black deeds, then all excellent qualities will diminish, so abandon it. Sleep, laziness, and sloth are friends of sin, little learning, pride, seeing gods and seeing ghosts, as well as partisanship, self-praise, and disparaging others are hammers that destroy the conduct of the holy ones. In short, from the difficulty of finding leisure and fortune to relying on a virtuous friend, correct the Dharma and your own continuum with them, and strive solely for the profound meaning of the generation and completion stages. In order for those vows to reach their ultimate fulfillment, within each month, spend a week in silence, practicing asceticism and patience. If you become accustomed to this, you will gradually mature and possess asceticism. Constantly rely on renunciation in your own continuum, and generate altruistic Bodhicitta without interruption.
