By elaborating on clarity, I have also placed the two, arising and ceasing, into contention. Those who read, hear, and contemplate are like places where not even a single session of shamatha and vipassana is personally experienced. By practicing samatha and post-meditation with force, the nature of reality, which is beyond thought and expression, becomes something that can be thought and expressed. Some have even asked if it is like the meeting of the two that are beyond thought and expression. We rejoice in the acts of hearing and contemplating. However, by using the wisdom of meditation on the inconceivable meaning, the obstacle to obtaining the dust-free Dharma eye has become ignorance. Therefore, one should know how to see the expanse of view and meditation. The ways in which the lamas of the past showed you the nature of mind are mind, but not wisdom. The samadhi that counts the arising and ceasing of the aggregates composed of the four names is a false samadhi. However, for beginners and those with weak meditative experience, there are those who do not know how to plant the instructions from Degle. The way in which appearance, mind, and sensation are mixed is now that by circumambulating the holy places, sins and obscurations are purified, and from the clear experience of the wind and mind residing in the central channel, how can it be mixed from the perspective of the view? At that time, not even the appearance and the object of appearance can be distinguished. Look at the treasury of precious qualities. When I think I have realized emptiness, and when I think that no one has meditation like mine, it is the way in which experience obscures one's own face. Even in the view of the Hinayana, if I think I have attained the state of an Arhat, it is said that it will become an obscuration. Then, in the empty snow mountains, due to the cause of fear and terror, it appears as the ultimate fear, and when the appearance of fear and terror arises without ceasing in the non-duality of grasping at fear, that intense cause is transformed into the path, and one sees the side of genuine samadhi that has turned away from ordinary sensory consciousness. It also seems that in the midst of the snow mountains, this much is considered to be seeing the genuine truth of reality. Because of that, the wisdom that distinguishes the Dharma has not yet been realized, so look at the differences between you and me. Therefore, answer the essence of the question with non-distraction. Since distraction is the object, the faults of the object are spoken of so much in the "Shrimālādevī Sutra". This is because the object of focus is very subtle, and it is necessary to recognize it, so how can there be an object when there is no distraction? Distraction is the appearance of the object.
