This is a summary of the teachings of all Buddhas. As it says in the *All-Creating King Tantra*: "The realms to be tamed by the emanation body are hundreds of billions of three-thousandfold worlds, etc. With spontaneously arisen wisdom and compassion, it tames the six realms." Thus, the field to be tamed by the emanation body is the impure three-thousandfold world, hundreds of billions of countless realms to be tamed, and the means of taming them, and the antidotes to each of them, and the ways of taming them are never forgotten. Therefore, it leads beings from the lower realms to higher realms, and leads those in higher realms to liberation and omniscience, thus accomplishing the welfare of beings. The manner of these is also as shown in the *Uttaratantra* with nine examples such as the sound of Indra's drum, which has already been brought into the path of the sutras, and thus it performs the deeds of benefiting others. Even though it acts in this way, the sentient beings who are the object of action and the Buddha himself who acts are, in reality, without inherent existence, like a dream. "Whatever Buddha is seen in a dream, and even though the Dharma of emanation is taught as in a dream, the essence is without essence, and the nature is unestablished, one should know to accumulate emptiness without self." As it is said in the profound sutras, samsara and nirvana are like a play of dreams. Although the essence of the Buddhas who appear is pure, because the appearance is like that of the beings to be tamed, the emanation of the impure play of compassion never ceases as long as one follows samsara. Moreover, if one looks at the beings to be tamed, the nature of the Sugata-garbha is defiled by adventitious stains, and the various kinds of happiness and suffering that appear in the realms of samsara, which are constructed by the appearance of grasping and fixation from habitual tendencies in objects, meanings, and mind, are also the nature of illusory appearances, a play like a dream, without even a particle of true establishment, as it is said in the *Mindfulness Sutra*: "The various bodies and enjoyments, and what appears as happiness and suffering, are emanated by the mind and made by the mind; there is nothing at all other than the mind, just like a dream." Thus. Moreover, if one looks at the one who tames, because he is free from all stains, the blessings of the Buddhas who know their own nature, and the prayers of each sentient being, and the appearance of virtuous actions, cause the compassion of the three bodies of the inner clear realm to appear outwardly in the appearance of others as the two pure form bodies of wisdom activity and

Especially for ordinary individuals, the supreme emanation body, such as the victorious Shakya Simha, clearly appears without obstruction, benefiting sentient beings. However, this is also without inherent existence, like seeing a Buddha in a dream. In the Holy Jewel Heap Sutra, it says: 'To beings who are like dreams, I emanate like a dream and teach the Dharma, but there is no essence, no duality in nature. One should understand the accumulation of selflessness and emptiness.' Therefore, the nature of samsara is an arrangement of illusory appearances, and the appearances of the container and its contents are of a false nature. Thus, the Buddha who emanates to tame beings, although his essence does not move from the pure two-fold Dharmakaya, the form of his appearance is merely the illusion of sentient beings, appearing as if encompassed by the truth of suffering. Both are apparent yet non-existent, like horses and elephants in dreams and illusions. In the Intermediate Mother Sutra, it says: 'Subhuti, all phenomena are like dreams, like illusions. Nirvana is also like a dream, like an illusion.' Thus, both those to be tamed and the tamer, while not moving from the same sphere, appear as the distinct aspects of samsara and nirvana due to the difference between being defiled and liberated. Abiding in this natural state is called a person who sees the suchness. In the Holy Sutra of the Absence of Origination of All Dharmas, it says: 'There is no Buddha, no Dharma, and no Sangha. Whoever knows this is wise. The nature of sentient beings is said to be enlightenment itself. The nature of enlightenment is all sentient beings. Sentient beings and enlightenment are not two. Whoever knows this becomes a supreme person.' Various Emanations: From that very essence, various emanations arise, some from inherent nature and some from fabrication, some sculpted and some painted, stupas, mansions, gardens, cities emanated in deserts, lotuses, wish-fulfilling trees, and wish-fulfilling jewels, boats, bridges, vehicles, food, clothing, etc., appearing as inanimate objects, and a great fisherman in times of famine, helpful insects for those afflicted by disease, the swift horse Balaha in the land of Rakshasas, golden bees in unclean mud, etc. Various emanations are the source of all happiness, without conceptualization.
