Profound words! Therefore, all phenomena and existence, the entirety of the universe, Are like not being without a place in the sky. The vast expanse of Bodhicitta is like a great realm, Accommodating all Buddhas, sentient beings, and the entirety of existence. So it is said. Such a principle is a great secret word that shows all dharmas are beyond intellect, without basis or root. The Great Perfection school has clearly explained this, so there is no need to be surprised. In the Sutra of the Noble Jewel Source, it says: Whatever dharma is without birth and without arising, Without death, without transference, and does not become old, The Lion among men has taught it, Hundreds of thousands of sentient beings rely on it. Whatever, in whatever, there is no self-nature, Not other, not found by anyone, Not within, not even in the external, Not found, the Protector guides those. Although the Sugata spoke of the peaceful going, Yet no going can be found, Thus it is proclaimed that they are liberated from going, Having been liberated, they also liberate many sentient beings. He shows that all dharmas are without self, Liberating the world from the clinging to sentient beings, Having liberated oneself from going, and also liberating beings, Therefore, even though he goes to the other shore, there is no crossing. The great sage has gone to the other shore of existence, Yet no other shore can be found, There is no other shore, nor a return to this shore, Yet it is also said in words, "Gone to the other shore." Whoever speaks in words, that one also does not exist, The words that are spoken are also not truly existent, The object to which one speaks is also not found, Whoever knows, that one also does not exist. By the power of attachment due to perverse thoughts, All these beings here wander greatly, Whatever person knows the peaceful dharma, That one sees the self-born Tathagata. Also knows well the supreme peaceful dharmas. So it is said. Seventh, self-born wisdom is separated from the mind, so the appearance of phenomena arises as the nature of reality. However the play of appearances arises, for the nature of reality beyond the mind, the lifeblood of truth and falsehood is not established. For emptiness and substance, the clinging mind of grasping there does not Enter, therefore it is the emptiness of no substance. From the absence of letters it says: The bindu is only one, without elaboration, beyond the expression of the mind's distinctions. And, in Boundless Bliss it says: The nature of mind without a root, when sought, is not found, without substantial grasping. Primordially, as it is, the nature of emptiness

Nga. Inexpressible, self-arisen wisdom. Thus it is said. Thus, the teachings on the Mind Series, with its twenty-two hundred thousand shlokas of expressive tantras, can be summarized into the three spaces: the space of essence, which is inexpressible because nothing is established in the nature of reality; the space of view, which is all-encompassing because everything is permissible in emptiness; and the space of conduct, which is without characteristics because there is nothing to grasp onto. If measured in folios, it amounts to three hundred and fifty thousand, which are gathered into the three expanses: the expanse of abiding in the ground of reality, the expanse of appearances arising as self-liberation, and the three expanses of equality and non-difference. These also include fifty verbal nails that do not deviate from the nature of reality, five hundred and eleven pegs of meaning that repeatedly negate the duality of object and mind, two myriads of key points that simultaneously distinguish appearance and mind, five myriads of practices that confidently apply the view of Tögal, and one thousand key points for cutting off mental thoughts through meditation. The tantras that name these divisions, numbering one thousand and three, are also gathered into the three categories of holding onto the aspect of mind, holding onto the confidence of mind, and holding onto the key points of mind. When these are brought close to the nature of reality and combined, they do not elaborate on the view of the nature of reality, which appears like other instructions, but rather, in the state of clarifying the unobstructed, self-arisen wisdom of the subject, they perfect the knowledge that arises from others as merely the play or activity of the self-liberated mind, without abandoning it. Therefore, it is known as the Miscellaneous Mind Series. As the All-Creating King says: "Self-arisen wisdom transcends all objects. It does not place conceptualization on top of objects. Because it transcends objects, it does not guard the consciousnesses. Because things clearly appear as the essence, it does not meditate. Because appearances clearly appear as the essence, there is no hope or fear." Thus it is said. Secondly, the nature of the Space Series, which speaks of the fruit as primordial liberation, is that all phenomena that appear as objects are arranged in the vast space of the nature of reality, Samantabhadri, like ornaments of self-arising awareness. In the great view that is free from right and wrong, there is no bondage or liberation. However things appear in appearance, they are primordially liberated from emptiness, so awareness itself is not desired to appear outwardly, and all the qualities of mind and mental factors are merely self-arising and do not exist as something that causes appearance.
