From the vast expanse of arising, surpassing the placement of meditative sessions, the method of piling up jewels: The nature of meditation is without interruption, without sinking or excitement, it is greatly wondrous. Also, from Self-Arisen: Unclinging dharma, self-luminous bliss of space, non-conceptual pervading space, enjoying all dharmas. Unclinging dharma, pure in its own place, non-conceptual self-liberation, the power of bliss, unscattered self-appearance, pervading all. True dharma, descends to the ground of great bliss. Thus, at the time of meditation, as the supreme of means, whatever thought arises, do not speculate, there is nothing to do, do not follow after it, do not move from the natural state. Divine eye, clear vision, and clairvoyance, etc., obtain all the qualities of clear senses. From the time when the wisdom of vipassanā arises, whatever thought arises, do not suppress it, do not cultivate with effort, and do not follow after it. Like this, if you suppress thoughts, you will fall into one side of śamatha; if you cultivate with effort, you will lose the nature of vipassanā; if you follow after it, you will not be able to cut off the root of thoughts, and there will be no difference from ordinary people. Similarly, if you intentionally suppress the senses and sense consciousnesses, you will not be able to obtain the five eyes such as the divine eye, and the six clairvoyances such as the clairvoyance of the mind, the qualities of clear senses. Among them, the six clairvoyances are from the Vajrasattva Magical Net: Knowing all four times, knowing all in the continuum of mind, seeing all everywhere with the magical eye, hearing all everywhere with the magical ear, performing benefits everywhere with the magical conduct, and the six great clairvoyances that completely perfect the unpolluted Samantabhadra conduct. Furthermore, knowing the four times recalls past lives. Magical conduct is the ability to transform and subdue whatever is necessary. Unpolluted is the pure vision of wisdom, the other three are easy to understand. Therefore, although the object appears to the senses, the sense consciousness does not conceptualize the object, this is called the non-elaboration doha, the great Brahmin said: As long as the senses fall into the city of objects, then oneself is without work, supremely victorious. Therefore, relying on the meaning, the nature of the six aggregates being relaxed does not waver, does not follow after appearances, and is not disturbed by waves.

Just as the images of stars are reflected on a lake, by abiding in the absence of inherent existence, one can obtain all the qualities of the grounds and paths and the fruits. As it says in the Kunje (All Creating) Sutra: "The beginning, the end, and the middle are peaceful. Samsara and Nirvana are peaceful. The spontaneously accomplished great bliss. The incomparable wisdom. From the awareness by its own power. Dharma does not arise from others." Like that. If it is not grasped by the special wisdom of Vipassanā (insight meditation), then mere Śamatha (calm abiding) is a latent self-grasping that is similar to the Ālaya (store consciousness), so it cannot uproot the faults of the root of existence, and it will not fall into the lower realms, so it is called the self-nature of unwavering action, and it only casts the mind into the formless samādhi that is in accordance with the mind of the two upper realms, and there is no other meaning. Therefore, in order to know the faults of that, I will explain the characteristics of each mind. In general, the samādhi of the noble ones can obtain the great fruit of the mind at the same time, but individual beings are only inclined to the bliss of Śamatha, and in the state of emptiness like the sky, the function of the mind disappears, and the mind is cast to the peak of existence of the realm in which they will be born. The noble ones, however, regard all dharmas as non-self and non-mine, and make the wisdom of Vipassanā the characteristic of their own self-awareness, so although they have the qualities of samādhi of the formless samādhi, those minds do not abide in their own characteristics, so they do not grasp rebirth in the upper realms, but after obtaining the great mind, they attain Parinirvana by obtaining the higher wisdom of the path of seeing and the path of meditation up to Akanishta. As it is said in the Middle Length Prajnaparamita Sutra: "One should enter into the nine successively abiding samāpattis." Thus it is taught. If we divide it, the nine successively abiding samāpattis are the four dhyānas, the four formless states, and the nine with the cessation of mind. Of these, the first four dhyānas have two minds, the preparatory stage and the actual stage. The preparatory stage is the practice samādhi, and the actual stage is the mere samādhi. Thus, the actual stage of the previous dhyāna becomes the preparatory stage of the next dhyāna, as it is said in the Middle Length Prajnaparamita Sutra: "The first dhyāna is with vitarka and vicara. The second dhyāna is without vitarka but only with vicara. Without vitarka and without vicara
