Just as those with blurred vision mistakenly perceive hairs, similarly, this mistaken conception of things is a child's erroneous discrimination. Like that. Its manner is that the object is the six consciousnesses such as the eye, and is merely the consciousness prior to these six consciousnesses. Therefore, it is unreasonable if all the teachings and practices are not placed in the samaya of suchness. Consciousness is the present six consciousnesses that are connected to the senses such as the eye. Feeling is the future part, which is the six aspects. Therefore, no matter which consciousness an object enters, the continuation of any of the six previous consciousnesses exists, and this is called an object. At that moment, holding its aspect is the present consciousness. After that, the object and consciousness combine to produce the three different feelings of pleasure, pain, and indifference, which is the feeling produced by the aggregation of the five senses such as the eye, due to the condition of contact. In short, although the nature of awareness abides, its obscuration is the alaya arising from the aspect of self-power ignorance, and from that, like a clear mirror, although it does not manifest now, the alaya-consciousness that serves as the basis for the manifestation of various things, and from that arise the mind and the five sense consciousnesses. Thus, the main factors that produce the eighteen dhatus from the three groups of six are the mind-dhatu arising from the universal entry of consciousness, and the touch-dhatu arising from the aggregation of mind that gathers all memories into one and enters various objects. Although it is established that examining the adventitious emptiness with the power of the first is the discriminating wisdom, there is no reason for it to be a characteristic of vipashyana. As it says in the Avatamsaka Sutra: "Whoever wishes to enter the realm of the Buddhas, should purify their mind like the sky. Abandoning thought, discrimination, concepts, and clinging, enter it with a mind like the sky." Because this is very contradictory to the above scripture. Furthermore, without distinguishing the characteristics of awareness and its obscuration, the alaya and its branches, leaning towards foolish talk, saying that whatever appears is the dance of the dharmakaya, and relying on mental conceptions to meditate, although it seems like practice, it will not transcend the nature of samsara. As it says in the Root Wisdom: "What is said is reversed, because the object of the mind is reversed. Unborn and un-
