It is like measuring through understanding the nature of reality, showing the view, meditation, and fruition of the path as perceived by mental speculation, aiming at the method of making the wisdom of the initial measurer return to the realm of the measurable. As it says in the "String of Pearls": "The nature of the two truths is merely a worldly illusion, unrelated to the true reality. In the realm of emptiness, everything is liberated in its essence." Therefore, all path truths are conditioned phenomena, and the way they ultimately pacify into the realm of the Dharmakaya. As it also says in the "Treatise on the Two Truths": "For that which is unborn and pacifies all elaborations, the name 'ultimate' is designated." Therefore, the ultimate truth is also merely a name established by words, and in reality, it has no inherent existence. If the characteristic of no inherent existence is not self-liberation, then its opposing factors, including the eight consciousnesses, cannot be liberated by other conditions, because all phenomena are the opposite of no inherent existence. As it says in the "All-Creating King": "The cause itself is like a vajra, and conditions are like aids. Because it is unborn, it is indestructible. From the beginning, the essence of bodhichitta, the realm of the thought of seeking, is immovable." Therefore, self-liberation is the indivisible and true truth of the nature of reality. Its obscurations or obstacles reside in the consciousness of thinking and contemplating, which does not go beyond the eight consciousnesses. Therefore, the nature of self-liberation generates samsara merely from ignorance. As it says in the "Compendium Sutra": "However many sentient beings there are, whether inferior, intermediate, or superior, all of them arise from ignorance, so said the Sugata." Therefore, self-liberating oneself is like a snake's knot unraveling, it does not require another liberator. For that which has no reason to be bound, by what is the validity of liberation proven? If one recognizes the suchness of self-liberation within and knows how to relax, then all parts that are unpredicted and engage in the realm of skillful conceptualization will also be liberated due to having no inherent existence. As it says in the "Six Spaces": "These phenomena that appear in this way, like a snake's knot self-liberating, are liberated and perfected in their own place." Third, the characteristic of direct liberation is: the moment of mind, and the gaze of the eyes, liberating through the key of the great descent. As it says in the "Essence of Earth": 'Through the great gaze of direct liberation.'

Both Buddhas and sentient beings are liberated. Thus, when the eye consciousness encounters the visible object, in the very first moment, the proliferation of appearance as form ceases. Since consciousness does not cling to form, the eye does not grasp the visible object. Appearance does not become tainted by consciousness, nor does it fall into any appearing object. Appearance is liberated in the very moment of appearing, not clinging to any object or distraction. This is how, through the aggregation of the eye faculty, the feeling of being unfindable arises, and this way does not contradict the scriptures. In the Klong Drugpa it says, "In the mind itself, like a great thunderbolt, appearances are directly liberated in their own place." Thus. Similarly, when the ear hears sound, the tongue tastes flavor, the nose smells odor, the body feels touch, and even the mere touch of the mind produces the state of emptiness of phenomena, by practicing all these states, the various empty appearances will be directly liberated, and eventually, the characteristics of the general appearance of phenomena, which are divided by habitual patterns, will also be purified into direct liberation, like the swiftness of an arrow. The bound things begin to scatter in ten directions, and once liberated, they remain stable and unmoving. I understand this like a ruminating camel. Child, you should always look inward at your own mind. Thus. Fourth, the characteristic of liberation from extremes is: from the aspect of non-origination, although one is liberated from the extreme of existence, from the aspect of non-cessation, one does not abide in the extreme of non-existence. Although one is liberated from the extreme of non-existence because of the continuous stream, one does not abide in the extreme of existence because it is not permanent and real. Although it is not both, it does not merge into one, so it cannot be decided by the reasoning of Madhyamaka. In the Tsal Dzog it says, "Because it is free from extremes, it is called liberation." Also, in the Klong Drugpa it says, "Free from the proliferation of many expressive words, not born from mantra but primordially complete. Completely free from causes and conditions, free from the defilements of view and meditation. There is no fixation on the edge and center, there is no appearance and no object." Thus. This is not abiding in the shore of samsara, so it is liberated from all clinging to appearances. Not abiding in the shore of nirvana, so the nature of phenomena does not move in its own place. Because the three paths of learning between the two are unattainable, one has gone beyond the three times and all knowable objects. In the Abhisamayalankara it says, "Not this shore, not that shore, not abiding between the two, knowing that all times are equal, this is called prajnaparamita." Thus.
