Its classification is clearly explained in the Supreme Vehicle. In terms of meaning, the knowing mind is known as the stainless equality in the wisdom of the noble ones, and as the tainted one on the ground of ordinary beings. Here, in the "Union of Sun and Moon Sutra," it says: "Thus, for the son of the lineage who arises, six kinds of clairvoyance will arise: knowing the previous birth, knowing death and rebirth, knowing the minds of others, knowing all hidden phenomena, seeing and knowing the state of the six realms, and the six kinds of clairvoyance with the senses completely purified will arise." Thus it says. Fourth, in the same sutra, it says: "At that time, the dharanis of non-forgetfulness will also arise in one's own continuum, and all the previous dharmas will appear simultaneously in the continuum. Similarly, dharmas that have never been heard before will also appear, therefore it is called the bardo of dharmata." Thus it says. Fifth, also in the same sutra, it says: "Because the constant samadhi naturally arises in the continuum, bad thoughts will never arise." Thus it says. Sixth, the way of dissolution is described in "Self-Arisen": "O friends, when the self-perfected appearance becomes the power of oneself, and thus one sees the truth, one should recognize the eight ways of dissolution. That is, compassion dissolves into compassion, like the rays of the setting sun. Wisdom dissolves into wisdom, like a child entering its mother's lap. Light dissolves into light, like a rainbow disappearing into the sky. Body dissolves into body, like the body of a vase. Non-duality dissolves into non-duality, like a river dissolving into a river. Liberation from extremes dissolves into liberation from extremes, like space dissolving into space. The door of pure wisdom dissolves into primordial purity, like a lion occupying a snow mountain. The door of impure samsara dissolves into the door of pure wisdom, like dismantling the ropes of a tent." Thus it says. Among these, the key to achieving ultimate liberation also lies in knowing that the essence is primordially pure, the nature is meeting in the present moment, and compassion is deciding on awareness. Thus, if one looks outward at the way things appear, although it is limitless, when one strips it bare in awareness, there is nothing at all, therefore the place of liberation is nakedly visible. Awareness returns to the self-ground of the self-perfected jewel, therefore the ground appearance and the ground essence will tend towards natural cessation.

As it is said in the 'Transcendental View': Recognizing is recognizing one's own nature, trusting is the culmination of trust, and certainty is entering into firmness. From the certainty of these three, the cause ceases when the essence is complete. Thus, in the Bardo of Dharmata, although the ways of liberation are explained as being fast or slow, and different, due to the differentiation of twenty-one faculties, they can be summarized into four. As it is said in 'Self-Arisen': The best are liberated in three moments. The middling ones also have stability after five days. The lowest ones gain stability in twenty-one moments. The very lowest of these breathe out in the realm of the Nirmanakaya, and become Buddhas without a Bardo. Furthermore, there are differences in the length of moments due to the differences in faculties. The most perfect of the best is the duration of a shooting star crossing the sky, that is, the moment when awareness arises in the object, and the moment when the thought arises that it is staying there, is called the moment of liberation. The moments of the middling and the lowest are longer than that. The time to complete the activity is calculated as previously explained. A day is a day of meditation, as it is said in the 'Lamp of Wisdom': There, a moment is divided by realization, and a day of meditation is a part of abiding. Therefore, the part of a moment is pervaded by the realization of recognizing one's own nature, while a day of meditation does not pervade realization, but is the duration of the abiding part of Samadhi, which is the same as the day of Nirmanakaya. Among these, taking the best of the ways of liberation as an example, in the first moment, the appearance of the aggregates, together with the union of the four wisdoms, ceases. In the second moment, the door of spontaneous accomplishment is seen. In the third moment, that also disappears, and the self-ground of primordial purity is attained. Furthermore, those who emanate manifestations do not emanate from the self-ground of primordial purity, because there is no self-nature there, and therefore it is beyond the appearance of body and wisdom. So, from where do they emanate? From the power of primordial purity, when the ground appearance of spontaneous accomplishment arises, the manifestations are emanated by compassion, and the benefit of sentient beings is actually done. Similarly, when emanating from the path, the particles dissolve, appearing as light, and the two, the rising as the body of the Great Transference and the going to the Nirmanakaya, also benefit other sentient beings other than one's own lineage. In the Bardo, from the door of spontaneous accomplishment, the impure Samsara appears. For the sake of benefit, the extent to which the manifestations are emanated is only self-appearance, and there is no real benefit to others.
