Meaning. Here, it is one's own faith in the accumulation of goodness, and the exceedingly marvelous power of the Guru's blessings. The meaning of all phenomena being selfless and free from elaboration, the very nature of mind, the luminous ground of reality, is well recognized through empowerment, guidance, and instruction. It is said to be the view of realizing the nature of reality. Therefore, it is crucial to distinguish between the ground and the view. The ground is the meaning of the reality of the expanse, while the view is the nature of realizing that very reality. Abiding in the state of realization is meditation, without conceptualization, without distraction, free from elaboration, pure like the sky, luminous, uncompounded. The mind of enlightenment, which transcends thought, speech, and representation, the self-illuminating, abiding state is the king of meditation. Thus, having realized the nature of that expanse, the meditation of abiding in that state is to be known as the unerring path of the oneness of oneself and the nature of reality. Such a principle, in the state of Tögal (Tibetan: ཐོད་རྒལ་, meaning "direct crossing"), is called the pure expanse abiding in the ground. By familiarizing oneself with that state, the appearance of the path of the luminous expanse will also be explained below. Secondly, the path of awareness is a special wisdom. Thus, if there is no wisdom to know the nature of the object to be measured, the expanse of reality, then there is a danger that the aforementioned inner expanse, empty and transparent, will be lost in nihilistic emptiness. Self-clarity, self-illumination, each by itself, The special wisdom of awareness has not been cut off from the aspect of awareness. Because its essence is not established, it has not fallen into permanence. Although the aspect of object awareness is the same as mind, it does not follow the object, and because it is not defiled by consciousness, it does not accumulate karma and habitual tendencies, so it is the nature of transcendence of suffering. Definition: Because the manifestation of the power of compassion is realized as inseparable from liberation, it is known that the nature of all phenomena is empty and selfless. Although appearances manifest, it is known that their nature is transparent, so the wisdom that does not conceptualize objects is extremely excellent, hence the term "wisdom" is applied. As it is said in the Garland of Pearls: "Wisdom realizes all phenomena at once. Excellence is the pinnacle of all." Division: The wisdom of knowing phenomena, the three of hearing, thinking, and meditating; the wisdom of knowing reality, non-conceptualization. The meaning of the former is generally explained in the Sutra path. Specifically, because the object to be measured is related to the wisdom that measures, reality depends on conceptual thought.

Therefore, do not doubt the wisdom of the Dharma category summarized here. Why? Because that wisdom of meditation relies solely on hearing and thinking, and is merely bound by words in non-duality, yet it has the admission of examining the nature of reality with conceptual thought. Moreover, conceptual thought cannot realize the wisdom of suchness, as it is also said in the Samputi Sutra: "Consciousness, wisdom, and mind, manifest the nature and basis. Wisdom observes the knowable realm. The knowable phenomena observe sentient beings. The mind that observes sentient beings, follows its own desires and so on. There is no conceptual thought and no consciousness. Likewise, those who engage in conceptual thought do not understand." Secondly, the nature of the object to be measured, wisdom, also lacks the aspect of a continuous moment of mind consciousness mixed with the flowing wind from the awareness of non-conceptual wisdom. Therefore, it is called that all phenomena are comprehended in an instant. As it is said in the Manjushri Sutra: "Great wisdom in an instant, holds and comprehends all phenomena." Therefore, that special wisdom that does not lose the state of knowing the nature of reality, because it has a part of awareness, is established as the path of awareness. However, because there is no movement of the wind, and no flow of the mind that focuses on objects, one should know that this is non-conceptual wisdom. This is one difficult point to understand, so the feet of the Victorious One said: "The difference between these two, even the wise do not understand, how can the foolish understand?" Moreover, in logic, it is also said that the distinction between consciousness and wisdom is when phenomena appear in various ways. Therefore, those who wish to understand the basis of the distinction of Dzogchen must know that awareness, propelled by the wind, manifests as the power of grasping and being grasped, which is the mind. And that power is consciousness and so on, transforming into the eight aggregates of consciousness and the fifty-one mental factors, creating the illusion of the cause and effect of samsara. This is the defilement to be abandoned. As it is also said in the Entering the Middle Way: "When the mind ceases, that body manifests." Having known this, to manifest the special wisdom of self-arising from the ground, which is the essence of the mind of all the Tathagatas, free from all movement, the state of suchness unchanged, and the appearance of all aspects of as-it-is knowledge.
