I have declared that there is not even a particle of difference between the two, this is Samantabhadra. Hey, Vajra of Speech! By the key that the Dharmakaya possesses itself, those who make various offerings, praises, and prayers outwardly, and those who abide free from actions and activities, in terms of attaining the fruit, there is not even a particle of difference, this is what I, Samantabhadra, have declared. Hey, Vajra of Speech! Therefore, the being who practices these words of the Great Self-Arisen, having found the confidence to effortlessly experience, will attain Buddhahood in the inseparability of appearance and the three Kayas. Thus it is said. These Kings of Words are the great proofs of unchanging meaning, so if foolish ordinary people hear them, there is a danger that they will despise the results of actions, and thus commit the seventh root downfall and the eighth coarse downfall. If those of inferior vehicles see them, they will become frightened, so keep them secret. From Self-Arisen: These words, do not speak even a particle of them in the presence of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and so on. Why is that? Because when those beings hear all these words, they will become frightened, startled, and faint. They will lose faith in the secret mantras and develop doubts. Due to its ripening, sentient beings will experience great hellish suffering. Therefore, what need is there to mention teaching and hearing, do not even speak them in the direction of the wind. Thus it is said. Those of middling faculties are liberated upon meditation. From the aspect of essence, although rooted in the great state of natural abiding, if the assembly arising from power does not go to nowhere, then the apprehended and the apprehender will arise in one's own continuum, and since the main cause of extremely increasing samsara is not reversed, the way to realize that arising and ceasing are without inherent nature is: Those who are attached to external objects and self, are not made by a maker, but are accomplished by the increase of mental thoughts. Everything arises from no basis and no root. Merely arising, it is perfected without arising. There is no need for a realization other than that. Reading, holding, meditating, and the mind of treatises, if all dissolve into the conclusion of wisdom, that itself is the Buddha without longing. Like this, all that appears as outer and inner, vessel and contents, is also like a painting drawn by suddenly arising mental thoughts, and merely the accumulation of the habit of clinging to that, in reality, it is as if it has never existed from the very moment of appearance.

All phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, are empty in their own essence. They do not exist as entities with characteristics, therefore they are without inherent existence. As it is said in the Garland of Pearls: "The Dharmakaya is like the sky, suddenly obscured by clouds of conceptual thoughts. The unerring nature of reality appears to the mind as a mistaken form." Also, as it is said in the Avatamsaka Sutra: "The mind is like a painter, created by the accumulation of mind. All the realms of the world, however many there are, are paintings of the mind." Therefore, severing the root of non-origination, in the state like the sky, no matter how the unobstructed power moves, just as images of drawings do not remain on water, if one practices from the very moment of arising in the nature of non-origination, then there is no need for other realizations. As it is said in the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra: "O Vajra hero, now meditate on the meaning! In the nature of enlightenment where there is no meditation, since there is no duality of meditation and what is to be meditated upon, to rest in the unmeditated nature is meditation. The meaning is that all meanings are unborn. If you recognize the characteristics of conceptual thought as such, then all memories and thoughts that move in the mind, without exception, without straying from the state of non-origination, know that whatever you think is meditation. Whatever you rest in without meditating, there is no distraction." Also, as it is said in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: "Emaho! Wonderful and amazing Dharma, the secret of all the perfect Buddhas, from non-origination all arises, from the very moment of arising it is non-origination." This explanation is applied to the five: cessation, abiding, focusing, going, and coming. When such extraordinary wisdom reaches its peak, one realizes that there is no external object, therefore the object of grasping is purified. Since it does not abide in the realm of appearance, the grasper becomes baseless and rootless. The awareness that has no basis cannot be reached by the mind of expression. Since one never errs, there is no need to practice the sequence of view and meditation, therefore there is no partiality of sessions. Since mindfulness has become the nature of reality, the antidote is exhausted. Since awareness is known to be the Dharmakaya, one does not establish sentient beings and Buddhas. As it is said in the Root Madhyamaka Karika: "All dharmas have no basis, where can there be a root? The mind that is free from existence and non-existence, its nature is uncreated, beyond words. The thoughts of doing and acting, of confusion, are exhausted. Without dharma there is no Buddha, and there are no sentient beings. Without self and without ego, the grasper and the grasped
