Now, even the dullest knife cannot cut it. If meditation is taken as the path of the mind, how can one focus on the object of focus, and combine view and practice like reliance and the relied upon? This in itself becomes a factor that obscures awareness, merely becoming a place for conceptual thoughts to rest, without much progress. As it is said in the Great Perfection tantra, which is equal to the wisdom space: Meditation, the basis of knowledge, does not exist. Great Perfection, Vipassana, awareness, these two, Similarity and error lead to wrong paths. Similarly, although awareness appears in the object, its self-nature and power do not separate, therefore, do not look outward, do not investigate inward, do not dwell in the middle, its Dharma-nature will appear nakedly, and there will be no other change besides this, therefore it will not be overwhelmed by the appearance of phenomena. For example, even if mercury is placed in smooth ashes, dust will not adhere to it at all. As it is said in the All-Creating King Tantra: The object to be known by awareness, Because it arises from Bodhicitta, It is objectless Bodhicitta, Because it arises from the self-nature of wisdom, Therefore, do not meditate on it. Because you do not meditate on it, Therefore, you will not accumulate the habit of meditation. This Dharma-nature without habit, Is said to be the intention of the Buddhas of the three times. The intention of all the Buddhas of the three times, Does not conceptualize objects, It has always dwelt in equality. When the mind appears as awareness in the object, because it does not recognize its true face, it is accustomed to being lost in the object, so it is confused by the grasped and the grasper, the power of conceptual thoughts is strengthened, and it is the actor who accepts various appearances, as it is said in the Six Spaces Tantra: Self-awareness, free from thought, And the various feelings of the mind's arising, Similar, similar, are mistakes. Wisdom, the perfection of self-power, And the various thoughts of the mind, Similar, similar, are mistakes. From the perspective of function and naming, distinguishing between mind and wisdom, the gathering mind like water grasps the basis of thoughts, the stable mind like earth gathers various collections, the radiating mind like fire manifests enjoyment of objects, the light mind like wind moves universally, therefore the mind is considered to be the nature of ignorance. Realizing the Dharma-nature of non-arising, the non-ceasing

Unforgetting mindfulness, the blending of unchanging examples and meanings, and the aspect of self-perfection where reality is not separated in any way, is called mind-essence, which is established as the nature of awareness. As stated in the "Six Spaces": "O great bodhisattva, the mind-essence that arises from awareness and awareness itself transcends all defilements and discriminations. In short, it is all the causes and results that transcend suffering, and it is the realm of experience for those who see the self-manifestation of awareness." The mind that grasps its own characteristics is examined as follows: all that appears, all that appears to exist, all that appears not to exist, and all that appears as appearance, sound, sight, meditation, and action, as well as grasping, conceptualization, and afflictions, are all that appear as objects of thought. In short, all the phenomena of samsara are the mind that grasps its own characteristics, and they are all the self-arising appearances of the six classes of beings. Thus, in the Holy "Hundred Thousand Verses," it is also said: "The mind has no mind; the nature of mind is clear light." And in the "Uttaratantra": "Because the nature of that mind is clear light, it sees that afflictions have no essence." It should be understood that this is consistent with the teaching of the great expanse. Therefore, in the path of the Great Perfection Heart Essence, by realizing naked awareness, there is no sharpness or dullness in the faculties; by continuously cultivating that awareness without interruption, the stream of self-arising wisdom is uninterrupted; because the radiance of awareness is manifest to the senses, there is no reliance on conceptual analysis; by realizing awareness that is transparent and transcends intellect and thought, there is no dependence on the wisdom of hearing and thinking; by pursuing awareness alone, one realizes that view, meditation, action, and result are artificial. As stated in the "Striking the Vital Point": "The Heart Essence is definitely summarized; the faculties have no sharpness or dullness. Mental speculation exhausts words; it is not wisdom but seen by the senses. Words cannot see the nature of reality; therefore, the common vehicle does not accomplish the meaning. Because the three bodies are the appearance of the path, seeing this is not reversing the three realms. Because all phenomena are equal in one taste, there is no dependence on base, path, and result." Thus, for this particular school of accomplishment, those who are prejudiced and cannot comprehend its meaning may think: without mind, it is an inert object; when the mind ceases,
