In the Ornament of Realization it says: Not on this shore, not on the far shore, Not dwelling between those two, In order to know the equality of all times, It is called the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus it is said. The fifth, the characteristic of one liberation, is: The awareness of the indivisibility of truth, the nature of the great non-conceptual manifold of one taste, is contrary to the relative accomplishment of means and wisdom. As it says in the Essence of Earth: The nature of solitary liberation, Is because of the manifold being of one taste. Thus it is said. Moreover, although the basis of distinction between one and different does not arise from the aspect of Dharma-nature, from the shell of the philosophical tenets established by the knowable and the knower, the wisdom of self-awareness emerges nakedly, therefore it is called the wisdom of a single bindu. From the Letterless [Scripture]: The single bindu is without elaboration, Beyond the expression of mental distinctions. Thus it is said. Therefore, also, by the order of the faculties of the individual, if the previous four modes of liberation ultimately know the characteristic of the Dharma-nature of their own awareness as liberated into one, then all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana will be transformed into the great emptiness of the vast expanse. For example, knowing the characteristic of one fire, and knowing the taste of one molasses, one knows that everything is sweet. As it says in the Commentary on the Awakening Mind: The nature of fire is heat, The nature of molasses is sweet, Likewise, all phenomena, Are one in their emptiness. Thus it is said. Such self-awareness is the object of wisdom, therefore it is the state beyond defiled mind. What are the awarenesses that are beyond mind? They are the characteristics of the Great Perfection of self-nature. Those who have realized are liberated from the ground into awareness, Those sentient beings who have not realized revolve in that very state. If distinguished by aspects, like water and water bubbles. Thus, from the alaya, all the parts that gather the collection of consciousnesses are mind, because the consciousness mixed with the object arises as the apprehended and the apprehender, therefore it creates samsara. As it says in the Self-Arisen [Scripture]: The apprehended is the mind that grasps the object. Thus it is said. Awareness is the nature of the Sugata-garbha, remaining unmoved from its original state of non-elaboration, therefore it is the nature of the Dharmakaya from the beginning, not fabricated in anything, not discriminating in anything, not abiding in anything, therefore it is beyond the defilements of the mind. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: If that mind is separated, one becomes a Buddha.

Extensive explanation: The defilements of all sentient beings are exhausted. Sentient beings proceed by that mind. If not, they cannot proceed. Therefore, sentient beings are like a revolving wheel. So it is said. Moreover, in the stage of the path, the mind is merely grasped as self-luminous and non-conceptual, and the awareness is merely grasped as without an object. Although the two are similar in being non-conceptual, the former is mixed with the latent tendencies of the base of all, so the clinging to grasping and being grasped by the mind consciousness is invisibly present. The latter is the awareness that has gone to the state of no memory or thought, and it has the distinction of realizing the liberation of samsara and nirvana. From the Lion's Complete Power: "The base of all is the root of the mind, and self-awareness is the root of the object. There is a great error in the basis of similarity. Ignorance appears as mind, and awareness non-conceptual appearance, the basis of similarity has a great error." So it is said. In short, in all the vehicles of the eight stages, the sudden mind of thought that has never existed from the beginning is taken as the path, like a water bubble. In the appearance of skill or play, various antidotes such as abandonment and cultivation are made into aids, and if one is free from the defilements of the mind, it is considered wisdom. The Great Perfection Ati, which directly shows awareness, is to leave the nature of awareness undisturbed by the waves of ignorance and the eight aggregates of consciousness, and to directly cultivate the awareness of the ground without relying on various antidotes such as abandoning and cultivating sudden mental thoughts, like drawing a picture on water or the appearance of a bubble. From Self-Arisen Wisdom: "The example of awareness and ignorance is like the relationship between water and a drawing, dependent on conditions. The example of mind and awareness is like the relationship between water and a bubble. It is said that it is not under the control of the mind." The way to show the relationship between the example and the meaning is: Although mind and awareness are similar only in being non-conceptual, awareness is without self-nature and completely clear. The mind is swirling and ignorant like a floating object. Awareness is like the moon in the empty sky, clear to the bottom. The mind is like the fifteenth moon, mixed with objects. Pure and without objects is the quality of awareness. Being completely mixed with objects is the characteristic of the mind. In that, in the state of equipoise, although the two, mind and awareness, are similar only in being without thought, in the nature of awareness, it is completely clear, free from obscurations, does not depend on the intellect, and is beyond view, meditation, cause, and effect. From the Lion's Complete Power: "Awareness is spontaneously accomplished without meditation, meditation is done
