It should also be known that everything is cherished as a vow. Thus, abandoning the five attachments is the main part of asceticism. The method of abandoning, although called individual collection in this tantra, is actually not allowing the senses to indulge in external objects, but truly collecting the senses internally and abiding in the perfection stage or the wisdom part, which is the general meaning of all. Moreover, the commentary on the tantra says: The twenty-five ascetic practices of Vajrasattva, the lord of beings, also mean that one should not go beyond the number of twenty-five to establish vows, and the three doors achieve their own nature, so they are called ascetic practices. Now, in order to proclaim the outer precepts of the five families of precepts, which are the common essence of the new and old tantras, it is said: The tantras that have changed in the past and in the future, their common essence is the precepts of the five families, the Buddha yoga aspiration to enter the three precepts, the immovable vajra bell seal master holds, the treasure of precious life is fearless compassion, the immeasurable light three vehicles hold all the dharmas, the non-empty achievement offerings praise all the activities with respect. Here, the aspiration to enter the mind of aspiration and the three precepts, etc., are in accordance with the Bodhisattva grounds, so they are also common precepts. Generally speaking, although entering a specific department does not mean that it is not necessary to protect all the precepts of the five departments, it is called the vows of the five departments because special attention must be paid to the precepts of one's own department. Among them, the first is the precepts of the Tathagata family Vairochana Buddha: Generate the aspiration that I have become Vajrasattva, and I will also place all sentient beings in this position, and firmly uphold the three precepts of abstaining from evil, collecting good dharmas, and benefiting sentient beings, thereby indirectly accepting the precepts of entering the line. That is, the first can make the mind dwell, the second can make one's own mind mature the Buddha's Dharma, and the third can make other minds mature, which is the same as the Bodhisattva grounds. But in particular, the precept of abstaining from evil, which eliminates attachment to mundane appearances, the precept of collecting good dharmas, which collects confused appearances into wisdom, and the benefit of sentient beings who enter the activities of the four activities, these are the three precepts summarized by the mantra precepts.

Explaining the hidden meaning of the three Yebagpas, and since the basis of all those vows is refuge, it concludes by holding its field, the Three Jewels. As the 'Crown Jewel Sutra' says: 'Just as the protectors of the three times have determined to attain enlightenment, I generate this supreme Bodhicitta, the unsurpassed mind of enlightenment. The training of moral discipline, and the accumulation of virtuous dharmas, the three moral disciplines that benefit sentient beings, I will hold them firmly and separately. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the unsurpassed Three Jewels, the vows arising from the Buddha's yoga, I will hold them firmly from now on.' Thus it is said. Secondly, the samaya of the Vajra family, the Akshobhya family, is common to outer and inner tantras. Holding the symbolic vajra and bell, vajra dakini, etc., which possess the qualities and characteristics spoken of in the tantras, imagining oneself as the deity form of Vairochana, etc., as the great mudra. As the 'Compendium Sutra' says: 'He holds the vajra, rings the bell of Dharma, with the great mudra of samaya, recites the essence of blessings.' Thus it is said. The way to hold it from the perspective of mindfulness is: The wisdom of the Buddhas' minds, which is non-dual, does not change anywhere, and is not destroyed by conceptual appearances, etc., because it possesses the seven vajra qualities, it is the vajra, the nature of Akshobhya. Its characteristic is to hold the symbolic vajra from the perspective of remembering the essence of ultimate Bodhicitta. Similarly, the bell also, imagining that everything is of the nature of space, and space also has no nature, connecting the equality of space, manifesting in all supreme equality. Believing that the sound is proclaimed by the bell and ringing it, and the result of generating certainty about that sound is: Even if one's own mind can only symbolize the nature of space, but space also has no nature, so it cannot be exhausted by its metaphor, therefore settling the wisdom that transcends discrimination in non-discrimination is the nature of wisdom, holding the truth of the ultimate bell. As the 'Supreme Horse Play Sutra' says: 'The mind itself abides in space, but space does not abide in anything, therefore it is free from the actions of judgment, inaction, thoughtlessness, speechlessness, recitation, and realization.' Thus it is said.
