One should learn to be in accordance with conduct. Fourth, the five angers are: being angry and resentful towards virtuous friends, the elders of the rulers, the Buddha, the Sangha, the Guru, and the Khenpo and Acharya, these five objects. These four sets of five should be restrained by the mind and abandoned through conduct. Fifth, the five attachments are: From all the Mahayana sutras, it can be seen that from 'the feeling produced by the contact of the gathering of the eye,' to what is said about the body, can be taken as representative. Because of the interdependent relationship between the sense consciousnesses, attachment and clinging to the five objects arise, and ultimately become the karma that can project rebirth, therefore these should be abandoned. The way to abandon them is to transform the sense objects, the tangible objects, and the sense of touch into the deity's body through the generation stage; and through the perfection stage, to cut off the continuum of the five senses entering the five objects with the wisdom of gathering them individually. In the Ratnakuta Sutra, it says: 'Light-protected, in the future, monks with manifest pride will be like dogs chasing stones. Light-protected, how are they like dogs chasing stones? The dog is afraid of the stone itself, so it chases the stone, but not the one who threw the stone. Light-protected, in this way, some monks and Brahmins are diligently discriminating within the forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tangible objects, and although they recognize that they are impermanent, deceptive, and of the nature of destruction, they do not know where they come from. Even if they go to villages, cities, towns, regions, districts, and around the king's palace, they will still be harmed by forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tangible objects.' From there it says, 'Light-protected, in the future, the yogic monks will be different from dogs chasing stones. For example, if a stone is thrown at a lion, the lion knows where the stone came from, so it does not chase the stone, but chases the one who threw the stone, so that there will be no more stones in the future.' Similarly, when a yogic monk sees the desirable qualities of external objects, he knows that they arise from the mind, so he examines the mind, and thus knows that things are empty and becomes liberated.' This is the essence of the four close placements of mindfulness.
