Without doubt, whoever accomplishes the great secret mantra, if they do not rely on these differences in methods, no one can realize it. As the tantra says: The supreme mother who possesses all aspects, is the beautiful one of emptiness and wisdom, is the mother who gives birth to all victors, if you do not rely on this, you will not attain Buddhahood. Therefore, relying on the proximate cause, a person who possesses their own lineage, is transformed into a noble being in an instant, and arises uninterruptedly in one go, therefore it is called the path of means. Moreover, the absorption of life is the perfection of abandonment by purifying all obscurations. The absorption of mind is the manifestation of perfect realization by merging with luminosity and arising in union. Secondly, the completion stage without appearance: Whatever arises as transformation, whether it is the generation stage or the completion stage, all appearances of pure vessel and contents, animate and inanimate, dissolve into light and are absorbed into the seed-syllable or bindu in the heart. That also, from the lower stages, becomes emptiness, the very nature of space. It is placed in the very realm of activity of great wisdom. The generation stage prevents the attachment to the truth of appearances. The completion stage abandons the attachment and conceptualization of illusion. Spontaneous wisdom of bliss and clarity, non-thought, arises. The profound, unsurpassed completion stages are not taught below the unsurpassed tantras. For those of sharp faculties, the swift path to becoming a Vajradhara in one lifetime is an extremely hidden and profound secret. Therefore, whatever arises in the form of hand gestures, the generation and completion stages with their objects of focus, must ultimately be gathered into the inconceivable completion stage. Thus, in the stage of the generation stage, the pure vessel and contents, including the deity and the palace, dissolve into light and are absorbed into the seed-syllable in the heart. Just as the seed-syllable itself is gathered into the Nāda, the deity body of the spontaneous great bliss of the completion stage, together with its object of focus, is placed in an inconceivable state, like a rainbow dissolving into the sky, this is the king of the completion stage. The so-called Nāda is the nature of the three extremely subtle wind-elements, which cannot be destroyed until Buddhahood is attained, relying on the formed, it is the externalist who actually enters, but because it is the unchanging great bliss, it is the most excellent. Therefore, the mind of the Buddha is free from elaboration.

Therefore, when one is in the process of familiarizing oneself with that nature, some, like those of the Father Tantra, merely consider the clarity of awareness arising from the means of wind as the ultimate, and some, like those of the Mother Tantra, merely consider the union of bliss and clarity arising from the dissolving bindu as the ultimate object of accomplishment. They cling to the view that is merely an example arising from the means, and denigrate the inconceivable wisdom. This is because they have not at all understood the way of abiding of the nature. As it is said in the Siddhi of Wisdom: "What is the bellows of the body, and what causes the bellows to blow? The yogi does not see the difference between them. The yogi who sees that, suppresses the action of the bellows." Therefore, it is prohibited to have clarity arising solely from the means of wind. And: "The bliss arising from the two faculties, they say that is an evil condition for wisdom. The Victorious One has not said that it is great bliss. Great bliss is not non-conceptual, great bliss is always conceptual. What is born from the itching of the armpit, why is it not great bliss?" Therefore, it is prohibited to consider the bliss arising from the condition of the bindu as the ultimate. If one says, then is there no reason why all the tantras speak of the supreme, unchanging great bliss? It is not so, it is merely that abandoning the suffering of samsara and its parts, which arise from cause and effect and pervade existence, is called great bliss. For example, in the realm of dharma, there is neither cause nor effect of sin, therefore it is called virtue. Like this, the bliss arising from the means is conditioned, therefore the nature of the conditioned is change, and because it is with substance, it cannot be ultimate. As the Protector Nagarjuna said: "If nirvana is substantial, nirvana becomes conditioned. There is no substance that is not conditioned, it does not exist anywhere." Even so, until the clinging to the truth of appearances is purified, the generation stage and the completion stage of bliss and clarity, etc., are special favorable conditions for the path in order to abandon the conceptual thoughts that cling to illusion. Therefore, until the path is complete, it should not be abandoned, just as one does not abandon wet clay until the investigation of craftsmanship is complete. As it is said in the Two Inquiries: "With the yoga of the generation stage, meditate on the elaboration of the ascetic, elaboration is like a dream."
