From "May the protectors of the three times" to "Establish all sentient beings in Nirvana," the first verse is for aspiration, the second for engagement, and the remaining verses clearly distinguish the visualization of mantra vows and precepts, which is obvious. Because it has great significance and does not contradict the Dharma of diligence, it does not make inverted reasoning. Thus, for the vows and precepts of the five families, both general and specific, whatever will be explained below, there must be a firm determination of discernment. Moreover, since there is no distinction such as "this should be upheld, this should not be upheld," it is extremely important to generate the intention to uphold the precepts. Thus, the precepts arising from the ritual, its attainment, abandonment, and protection all follow the intention, so it must be recognized that it depends solely on the purity of the actual ritual. Ultimately, these mantra precepts can also become: the precepts of abandoning misconduct that liberate from ordinary appearance and attachment; the accumulation of virtuous Dharma that upholds the learning on the profound swift path of generation and completion stages; and the benefit of sentient beings who attain mastery in performing the four activities for the sake of others. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the three types of discipline bound by the special constraints of mantra precepts. Thus, the time for bestowing mantra precepts is no different from bestowing them at this time or at the beginning of the main practice, because the Vajra Acharya who bestows them possesses the precepts himself as a basis, and in any situation where the root downfall has not occurred, he can cause the disciple to generate the precepts. If the bestower does not possess them, the disciple will not generate them either. Therefore, the Acharya himself must strive to purify the continuum in every way and at all times, and should not be satisfied merely with others or others bestowing the position of Vajra Acharya. Because the vows in the continuum of ordinary beings seem to degenerate depending on the attitudes of others. Then, protect with the mantra and water of nectar swirling, in the three places visualized as the disciple, with the right fist holding the vajra and the fragrant water, from top to bottom or from bottom to top, according to their respective comfort, the two methods of contact, visualize marked by the three syllables residing in the three places, bless as body, speech, and mind, and bless the faculties, etc., and then offer

When it becomes a pure land, offer with the five desirable qualities. From now on, may you be liberated from the attachment of enjoying desirable qualities with the faults of samsara, and may it be transformed into merit with illusory offerings! This is how it was communicated. Then, in connection with purifying the obscurations of the three doors, first, in order to purify the obscurations of speech, the area for discarding the tooth-stick should be made square, smeared with cow dung, etc., or a collection of fragrant flowers with eight lotus petals should be prepared. Since Ashadha, etc., cannot be found in Tibet, choose a tree with milk, which is straight and of suitable thickness, without faults such as cracks and worm infestations. In order to indicate that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are known to arise and cease from the twelve links of dependent origination, make it twelve fingers long with three corners. As it says in the Garland Sutra: "Measure twelve fingers, and make three corners completely." According to these characteristics, wash it with fragrant water, fumigate it with incense, and tie a garland of flowers and a red thread to the tip. Bless it by reciting the mantra that subdues obstacles. This itself is to eliminate the faults of speech, and for the purpose of observing the signs of accomplishment, give the flower to the student after showing it to oneself, as it says in the Vajrakila Sutra, Manifestation of the World: "In order to eliminate the faults of speech, bless the tooth-stick and brush the teeth, observe the accomplishments of the four activities." Also, as it says in the General Sutra: "It is said that when handing the tooth-stick to the student facing north, one should look east when discarding it." However, it is also acceptable for both the master and the student to face north, because that is the naturally auspicious direction. In any case, eliminate the faults of speech with the root of the tooth-stick occupying the space, along with the posture of brushing the teeth, and with a strong desire to observe the signs of accomplishment, while reciting "Om Vajra Hasa Ham (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཧ་ས་ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:ॐ वज्र हस हम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra hasa haṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚,哈,萨,吽)", look upwards. Do not throw it outwards with too much force, but discard it and observe the signs: East and North, West, South in order are pacifying, increasing, empowering, and activity. The upper direction is vidyadhara, the lower is the underground of the earth. Attain accomplishment and do not fall backwards. The root showing itself, repeat three times. Leaning to the right is liberation, leaning to the left is giving. Walking diagonally is lighting a hundred butter lamps.
