Consciousness is like a person without legs, although it does not have the ability to move, it is carried by the wind of karma, which is its mount, and which has the nature of abiding, moving, rising, and entering, and it travels throughout the continuum of the mind. As it says in the tantra: "This is the great wind element, it is the mount of the three consciousnesses." Also, from the perspective of function, the winds are divided into ten, which will be explained below. Here, if we explain the function of the four at will, then initially, at the time of taking birth, consciousness rides on the wind and enters the womb, and abides relying on sperm and blood, and consciousness also faints. At that time, it abides in the nature of the wisdom wind. Thereafter, starting from the life wind, the ten winds gradually arise and cause the body to grow. After it has grown, the moving wind prevents it from decaying as long as it is alive. Also, by way of rising and entering, it generates various kinds of memories, thoughts, and feelings. Therefore, on the path, the activities of yoga are also done by this, and at the time of death, when those winds cease, it is called the cessation of that existence. Also, in general, the ten winds each perform their own functions from their own places, but they are all of the nature of moving wind. However, briefly, by the distinction of life, activity, and movement, it is distinguished by the combination of the three actions of entering, abiding, and rising, as it says in the tantra: "The three are the combination of the three actions, and they abide by the three distinctions." Thus. Among them, the movement of life is only the nostrils, that is, from the stream of the door of the nostrils, the movement of life and activity, the constant movement, is called life. Thus. The wind of consciousness is the nature of the wind of wisdom, and ultimately, from the point of view of its non-movement, although it is said to be abiding, it is said to move between the twenty-four places with function, as it is said in the Kalachakra, and it is also said in the Vajra Garland to move between the four sessions. The wind of space moves in the way of pervading at present, and the actual movement is only at the time of death, that is, in the way of ascending. As it says in the Garland.

As indicated by "Now it runs in a pervasive manner," and so on. Among them, the wisdom wind resides in the center of the ghee wick of the dhūti (Sanskrit, dhūti, dhūti, washing) channel, and it arises from the power of the two channels of grasper and grasped as the two, life and exertion. It arises from the petals of the four chakras, gradually in the twenty-four internal places, etc. Because of the power of the life wind, it flows through the nostrils. Because the essential points of outer and inner are the same, externally there are distinctions such as sticks or clocks, as well as twelve changes, day and night, dates, and constellations. Similarly, internally, in one day and night, there is a definite number of 21,600 breaths. "Twenty thousand and one thousand, likewise the number is six hundred, day and night निश्चित runs." Thus. How does such movement transform into the path by grasping it? For example, just as camphor स्थिर (Sanskrit, sthira, sthira, stable) remains when the wind is bound, by binding the life wind that flows through the nostrils, consciousness is seized and non-conceptual samadhi arises. When it is seized by skillful means and instructions, counting the three, arising, entering, and abiding, also transforms into vajra recitation, thereby causing obscurations to cease. The gates of limitless samadhi, such as cessation, accomplish the four activities, and eventually all karmic winds cease. When the wisdom wind is manifested, all the qualities of the grounds and paths are completely perfected, therefore it is called the path of skillful means. Thus, the movement of twenty-one thousand six hundred, with the four, arising, entering, abiding, and all combined, as the path, is called the cessation of life and exertion. Among them, making arising the path has three instructions for expelling: releasing from the life wind while abandoning exertion, releasing from both while increasing strength, and releasing from the mouth with sound. Making entering the path has two instructions for filling: filling from the life wind while abandoning exertion, and filling from the mouth without sound. Making abiding the path is being skilled in the method of placing the life wind on top of the downward-clearing and combining it with the ghee wick, and integrating the decaying single wind into the central channel, integrating through the order of letters, and meditating based on the four essential points of the seven successions. Thus, in accordance with the four essential points of the wind, internally on the chakras not...
