What is the standard? The height is about half the size of the little finger, the thickness is uniform, and it is free from the faults of skewness leading to the loss of the country, etc. It is drawn in a clockwise direction. This method comes from the Vajra Dakini. The width of each color is one-twentieth of the width of the door. If the colors are uneven, skewed, or too low, if the lines are too low, things will not be accomplished. Skewness will cause pain, so the height should be half the size of the little finger, and it should be drawn high and straight. If it is thicker than this, it will cause illness, and if it is lower than this, it will deplete wealth. Skewness will lead to mutual strife, and if it is broken, both the guru and the disciple will die. If it is drawn counterclockwise, it will be smeared with powder. It is said. Among them, smearing with powder means being smeared with powder, and hammering means destroying. Therefore, if it is drawn counterclockwise, it will cause faults such as mutual confusion due to smearing of the elbows, etc., which will lead to the extinction of the lineage. Thus, if one realizes that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are of equal nature, and suppresses sudden conceptual thoughts, then there is no need to examine the goodness or badness of colors, etc. However, for those who cannot combine this thought of suchness with the pride of the deity, it is also necessary to examine the colors. What is the fault of applying colors? It is a fault for those who do not have the thought of suchness. For those who have the thought of suchness, no one can create obstacles. Therefore, for those gurus who are controlled by conceptual thoughts, first draw a mandala of the size of a door themselves, and then cover it with a skull cup. After that, let the disciples be happy as they wish. As the Vajra Dakini says, carefully instruct the disciples or skilled painters, etc., and have them draw according to the ritual. When the walls are about to be connected, Kukuraja says: If the lines are too low, things will not be accomplished, skewness will cause pain, and if it is broken, the guru and the disciples will become ill or die. Breakage or excess will cause disease, and wrong direction will lead to confusion. It is said that if this happens, the remedy comes from the Garland Treatise: With the sound of the bell and, the song of the vajra. Eliminate inauspicious signs. In this Dharmadhatu.

Daga ste. Semchen kham ni rab drol war. Gyalchen gyepa dorje yi. Kyilkhor rab tu driwar chao. Thus, remembering the meaning of the Dharmadhatu's self-nature being completely pure, one should subdue the sudden arising of virtuous and non-virtuous conceptualizations in the realm of sentient beings with the Vajra song. Some may think that this is the Samaya of applying colored powders from the Gur tradition, so it does not have the meaning of dispelling obstacles. However, it is also clearly stated in the Mala that it is the Vajra song for dispelling bad omens. In particular, the term "Samaya of applying colored powders" is not absolute, so it is also understood in this way here, which is great wisdom. One should not think of logical reasoning for these subtle aspects of investigation. If so, then initially drawing without error, but later appearing with faults such as being thick, like an illusion of the eyes, is because of one's own delusion. If the teacher has removed those faults and drawn a mandala that can be examined, then the students and other drawers should be well instructed to draw it in the same way. Whether they draw it, or even if they draw it themselves, if they draw it with mindfulness and awareness, then the interdependence of virtue and non-virtue is manifest without anyone being the maker. Therefore, one should rationally examine the differences such as thickness and thinness between the first drawing and the later drawing. This also agrees with the three mandala rituals of the Indian scriptures. The need for this is that it is said that flowers are scattered on the lines and offerings are made, so some think that this is to avoid damage to the colored powders, which is a great mistake. If so, then only the lines drawn by the teacher are easily destroyed by the flowers, so they need to be covered with vessels. The drawings by the students are not destroyed, which contradicts what is seen. Thus, by determining the symbols of the support and the supported, the families and wisdoms with colors, one should know that the five families of deities that are the inner support, either like a general principle, or like the expansion where the deities of the center and directions exchange positions, are built up in the order of colors. As for the five constructions, if they are under the power of what is to be meditated on, then one can think of the five combined that do not touch each other inside and outside, or the order from top to top.
