I will not do. Thus it is said. If that is the case, then for a person who has entered the path, the non-arising of self-grasping of Dharma, in the Paramita, until the eighth bhumi is attained, and in Mantra, until the co-emergent of meaning is attained, there is no turning back, so it is said that it cannot be accomplished. It is true that from the aspect of not being able to accomplish, it is not seen as being established as a root downfall. As Shantideva said: Dharma should not be measured by measure. Thus, discriminating with the mind that views the selfless Dharma as self, in the stage of the first practitioner, remembering the attachment of the view that is the object of hearing and thinking, measuring the inconceivable Dharma-nature with sharp reasoning of discernment, adding one's own ideas, even at the time of abiding, in the manner of focusing on the characteristic of non-elaboration, rising again from the self-nature Dharma-nature, and thinking that the essence of the view is just like this and that, with the clinging that is inseparable from the eight consciousnesses, discriminating this and that, this is said to be a root downfall. As it is said: Discriminating that and that emptiness. Thus it is said. Twelfth, not showing the Dharma to the disciple who is suitable to be a vessel for mantra, or who possesses the three faiths. By evil motivation, making others' minds weary, causing their aspirations to turn to the wrong path. For the disciple who is suitable to be a vessel for mantra, that is, who has the right to receive the guru's oral instructions, or even if not, but is naturally good, possessing the three faiths of intention and trust, not turning away and not giving the Dharma that is in accordance with their respective capacities and minds, and clearly having the ability to benefit them, but not doing so with evil motivation, and for those paths of faith, with the thought of wanting to reverse their intention, making their minds weary, and with deception and non-Dharmic thoughts and actions, turning their original intention of acting according to Dharma to other things, leading them to the non-path. As Shantideva said: Turning away sentient beings who have faith. Thus it is said. Thirteenth, observing the substances of vows to be used in one's own continuum, abandoning some and being attached to others. The conduct of mantra is not as it is, not included in practice, wandering on the bed of the two extremes. There are two aspects to this: becoming a root downfall of Anuttarayoga, and becoming a root downfall of yoga and commonality. The first is that, since the behavior is related to time, for the substances of vows to be used, the five meats, the five amritas, etc.

Meat and alcohol, and gatherings of food and drink, such as gatherings of desirable qualities like dance, song, lyrics, and consorts, or feasts of heroes and heroines, etc., in situations marked by time and accepted, there are no special prohibitions, and even when power is obtained, one cannot accept them because they are seen as self-existent. Or, like the five meats and five amritas, one is tormented by self-existent thoughts and cannot accept them, yet one indulges in meat, alcohol, etc., with attachment and desire as self-existent. And one hesitates while suppressing the mind with the vows of a Hearer. In short, like dragons and Brahmins, one is bound by the dualistic grasping of purity and impurity, or like dogs and pigs, one acts in a crazy manner. Without falling into either extreme, the way to accept with the realization of the equality of Dharma-nature is as stated in the Source of Ambrosia: "Purity and impurity are conceptual thoughts; the wise do not dwell even in the middle." Like that. The second is the vajra, bell, and mudras, etc. Because one does not know their reality, one has neither respect nor certainty, but makes laughter and so on. For example, the bell represents the nature of the five families, and is the support of the samaya connected to skillful means and wisdom. If one does not rely on it, but discards it in a contemptuous way, and shakes it with a mind free from inherent existence, as it is said, "That mindless yogi is like an elephant shaking a bell," it will also become a fault. Similarly, regarding mudras and so on, if one sees them merely as gestures of the hands, and reviles and mocks them in the midst of people, as the Great Commentary on the Glorious Supreme Tantra says, "One laughs without faith," this is said to be a state outside of samaya. The fourteen yoginis, etc., transcend the world; the matrikas and dakinis, etc., guard the boundaries; one sees the elements of the five elements as self-existent; and one reviles women who have become the basis of power. If this is interpreted broadly, then to revile the inspiring mothers, Ekajati, Vajravarahi, and other wisdom dakinis who manifest in female form, is a root downfall of both yoga and anuttarayoga. In general, although the fame of matrikas and dakinis is not situated in the realm of transcendence or non-transcendence, for Vajravarahi and
