The working principle is: In the "Explanation of Empowerment," it says: The lunar path excretes feces, the solar path excretes urine, and from birth, death, and desire, the seed of Rahu flows out. So it is said. For women, the single channel with these two channels in reversed positions branches into the channels of the five lineages. From its function, compared to men, there are thirty-two more types of diseases and deceptions, as well as the uterus and types of parasites. Moreover, the types of channels change, thus producing menstruation. Among them, "Roma" refers to the fact that if it is kept in its natural state, it cannot function, so it is similar to a corpse. If it is made to function through dependent origination, then this channel is the nature of bliss, so there is no thought, and like tasting the flavor of food, it transforms into the indescribable Dharma nature in the mind, hence it is called "Roma." If this channel is straight, the qualities of the body are complete; if it is crooked, it becomes bloated; if it is uneven in thickness from top to bottom, the figure is unsightly; if the lumen of the channel is wide, the belly is large; if it is narrow, the belly is small; if it is crooked, one vomits and cannot eat, and is prone to sudden illnesses. It can take in food and separate the essence and dregs of the parents' fluids and excrete them. The so-called "Kyangma" refers to the fact that if it is kept in its natural state, it has no connection with others and exists like an isolated individual, hence it is called "Kyangma." If one is skilled in the instructions of guidance, then this channel is the nature of emptiness, so it generates the experience of Dharma nature free from conceptualization, therefore it does not possess the branches of conceptualization, so it is "Kyangma." If this channel is straight, the speech is sweet and the expression is clear; if branches arise, the voice is hoarse and the expression is unclear; if it is crooked, it becomes a stutter. Trembling and vibration arise from the umbilical cord. If this channel is narrow, the body temperature is high; if it is wide, the body temperature is low. "Uma" is called "Uma" from the perspective of its state, because it is located in the middle of the two (Roma and Kyangma); from the perspective of Dharma nature, because it is free from the two extremes of existence and non-existence, it is the nature of non-duality of bliss and emptiness, hence it is called "Uma." Moreover, from the perspective of conventional truth, if the nature of the channel is narrow, thirst is small; if it is wide, thirst is great; if it is crooked, the mind is frivolous and manifests various unreal things; if it is uneven in thickness or changes mutually, various obstacles arise that make the three doors unfree, because it is the basis of life and all winds. Therefore, these three channels are the root of all channels, so the syllable "Ma" is added. Measured from the perspective of function, blood, serum, and

If I am skilled in the work of bindus through the movement of mind and energy, I can exhaust the work of the body. Cutting off attachment to food, I live on the food of meditation. If I am skilled in the essential points of the channels through which the essence of the four elements and the wisdom energy flow from the left channel (Tibetan: རྐྱང་མ།), I can purify the work of speech, cutting off attachment to clothing. The essence struck at the crucial point, the ultimate truth of the central channel, is like a crystal pillar erected, empty and transparent, with the nature of light. Therefore, if I am skilled in the essential points of energy, I can tame the work of the mind. Cutting off attachment to thirst, severing the continuity of dreams. Ultimately, the nature of reality, which does not abide in the two extremes, is also called the central channel because it engages in the meaning of clear light. For those who have previously practiced and are fortunate, this channel is unobstructed, so whatever they think becomes virtuous. Great wisdom and a tamed mind, therefore, the qualities of the path are easily born. In short, once the body is accomplished, the channels are accomplished. Once the channels are accomplished, the energies and wisdom that depend on them are also accomplished. Therefore, to liberate through the essential points of the profound path of means, one must understand the way of abiding of the vajra body, as it says in the Madhyamaka-extrinsic view: The essential point of the body is the channel, the place and structure change, it is the basis of the wheels and the life force of the body, names and distinctions, cause and condition, the activity of action and nature, from afflictive emotions and wisdom, appearing based on the path, the differences of diseases and the five elements, distinguished by the edge of abiding in confusion, obstructed by pressure, bound by squeezing, touching the essential point by pressing, clarified by contraction, transcended by twisting, understood by uprightness, emptied by pushing, controlled by force. In this way, even relying on the essential points of the channels, one can symbolize the essential point of the Buddha. And so on. The method is, the great pandita Vimalamitra's "Step-by-step Guidance," and the "Great Vehicle Jewel," which extensively analyzes the location of the channels and the nature of the wheels, are very clearly explained, so I will not elaborate further here. In this way, the three channels abide like the life force of the body, and within them, the three seed syllables of body, speech, and mind abide like master and servant, thereby outwardly manifesting as the three of body, speech, and mind, inwardly manifesting as the three poisons, and secretly becoming the support of body, speech, and mind.
