Abiding in this is the source or basis of the body and great wisdom of the Tathagatas. As Mapam Gonpo said, "There is nothing to be removed here, nor is there anything to be established." Thus, the nature of the ground is established. It is also said, "Look at the true reality with true reality; if you see the true reality, you will be liberated." Thus, the wisdom of individual discernment transcends the realm of ordinary people's minds and manifests, and this is established as the view of the Middle Way. As it is also said in the Ratnakuta Sutra, "Subhuti, the mind cannot be found if it is completely sought. That which is not found is not perceived." Therefore, the self-nature is pure, and the true reality is viewed with true reality. The so-called "viewing" is also conventional truth; not moving from its own state is the best of meditation. Before it, the mind and all mental activities do not abide. Among them, self-nature purity is not defiled by artificial rituals. In its original state, although it does not perceive other objects, it is not like a blind person because the conditions are not complete, nor is it like being deceived by sleep. It is even more superior than the absorption of non-perception, so in all actions, it abides in yoga as it is, and desires to be combined with the meaning of selflessness. Thus, if one observes with wisdom, one sees the true wisdom and becomes not seeing all dharmas. As the Middle Volume of the Prajnaparamita Sutra says, "Seeing the meaning of not seeing anything is seeing." It also says, "What is the seeing of ultimate truth? It is not seeing all dharmas." Thus, the name of viewing is established. As the Introduction to the Middle Way says, "Therefore, by viewing the emptiness of self and what belongs to self, the yogi will be liberated." That is, with true wisdom, one understands that all dharmas are without self-nature, and follows the path of liberation. The five aggregates are also seen as empty in nature and pure. This is in accordance with the essence of the Heart Sutra. However, if one analyzes the word "viewing," then at that time it becomes emptiness devoid of mental activity, which makes the state of mind very bad, becoming not self-nature, but established by conventional consciousness, and having the limbs of existence. Why? Because the individual observation of the Middle Way

The so-called "is" refers to the absence of discriminating consciousness in the ultimate state. As asked by Moonlight Youth: Moonlight Youth, furthermore, not clinging to permanence or impermanence with regard to form is called discriminating the Middle Way's dharmas. Moonlight Youth, the so-called "permanent" is one extreme. The so-called "impermanent" is the second extreme. What is in the middle of these two extremes? It is that which is inconceivable, un-indicatable, non-reliant, non-manifest, without discriminating consciousness, and without a place to dwell. Moonlight Youth, this is the discrimination of the Middle Way's dharmas. Moonlight Youth, the so-called "self" is one extreme. The so-called "no-self" is the second extreme. Moonlight Youth, the so-called "exists" is one extreme. The so-called "does not exist" is the second extreme. What is in the middle of these two? It is that which is inconceivable, un-indicatable, non-reliant, non-manifest, without discriminating consciousness, and without a place to dwell. Moonlight Youth, this is the discrimination of the Middle Way's dharmas. And so on, extensively proclaimed. Therefore, not moving from the state of the Great Middle Way, which is emptiness of its own nature, is the supreme state of meditation, that is, attaining nirvana in a state free from the mind of effort. From the purification of limitless doors, the Middle Way is the path to nirvana. Nirvana is where there is nowhere to go. Because there is no going there at all, all dharmas are equal in nirvana. This infinitely adorned Middle Way is neither practice nor non-practice, therefore all dharmas to be taken are equal in nirvana. As it was proclaimed, in this state, there is no other measure than the Tathagata himself, so one should not harbor even a little doubt. Some people think that as long as it is discriminating wisdom, they tightly bind it with sharp analytical scrutiny, and if they abandon the attention to discriminating self-nature, there is no light of wisdom. They think this way, and thus speak truthfully: If the fire of knowing as it is arises from correct discrimination, like fire produced by rubbing wood, it will burn the wood of discrimination.
